The system is absolutely screwed up.
But I actually think it stems from the times we live in.
Geezer speak...back when I was a young’un we stayed out all day in the summer and until dark during the week in the winter...with no adult supervision. We learned to settle our own differences and how to get along.
Today, kids can’t go outside alone because some pervert might grab them. Their parents have become “helicopter parents”...with good reason. But sadly the kids suffer because of that. There is no progression in social skills.
It’s a sad thing. I feel sorry for the kids.
