Expert Says Anti-Semitism ‘Part and Parcel of European Culture’

Europe hasn’t changed all that much, at least in regards to its feelings about Jews, according to Dr. Manfred Gerstenfeld, former head of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.

“They don't like to hear that,” Gersetenfeld told a Haifa audience last week. […]

Gerstenfeld, a historian with an expertise in European Jewish history, along with Itay Reuveni of NGO Monitor, was discussing the issue of anti-Semitism at the Midrasha Leumit in Haifa. That Europe hates Jews even now, decades after the Holocaust, he said, as is clear from the many anti-Semitic caricatures appearing in European newspapers, the ongoing anti-Semitic attacks against Jewish institutions and individual Jews, and the onslaught of legislation against Jewish lifestyle issues, such as ritual slaughter and circumcision. …

Not as big as the European media makes out.

Countries like Hungary, with an infinitesimally-small Muslim population, are highly antisemitic, for example.

War Guilt and talk about xenophobia was the kryptonite that made Euros frightened to reject waves of culture-hating muzzies.

Now that they’ve flooded Europe, are Jews safer...?

They’re considerably LESS safe than right after Berlin’s fall.

There are almost no Jews in Sweden anymore and the few that remain feel unsafe, and it’s because of MUSLIMS.

ALL EUROPEAN LIFE DIED IN AUSCHWITZ By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez

I walked down the street in Barcelona , and suddenly discovered a terrible truth – Europe died in Auschwitz .. We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.

The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world. These are the people we burned.

And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.

They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime.

Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.

And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition.

We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.

What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe …

The anti-Semitism of Europe, with or without Muslim enhancement, is truly a shameful thing. Just baffling.

It's a sure sign of the limited scope of the European mind: blindly embracing the rhetoric of class warfare, harboring absurd ethnic jealousies; it's just breathtaking how inferior their perception is, compared to even to the most average American's.

I mean, after all, look how they're submissive to the foolishness of Marxism, in its various ridiculous forms, even after their experience of the 20th century. They just don't get it.

It's amazing how casually bigoted the collective authoritarian mind can be, and how alien the understanding of Freedom and Equality can become. It's happening here too, of course, but Europe is just pathetic...

For years, Tottenham Hotspurs has been referred as the “Jewish Club” in Britain.

From Wikipedia:
Tottenham supporters, Jewish and non-Jewish, united against this and adopted the nickname “Yids”, developing chants to support this. Many fans view adopting “Yid” as a badge of pride, helping defuse its power as an insult.

"The Church, for thousands of years, did its job very faithfully, preparing the groundwork for the Nazi Holocaust."

Bigoted, unsupported statements like that don't exactly endear Christians or any non-Jews to Judaism or the Jewish State of Israel.

I've traveled quite a bit in Europe, particularly in Germany. I've never met any German there who expressed the slightest hatred of Jews. I know there are a few...as there are a few bigotted haters everywhere. The greatest concentration of anti-Semites in Germany are in immigrants--both the nominally-Islamic Turks and Eastern-European/ex-USSR-block immigrants.

If you’re worried about endearment, then you don’t have the right focus, with all due respect.

In these days, antisemitism is cloaked with “anti-Zionism”, which literally means that one is against the Jews having their own Jewish state in the land of Israel. Polls show an opinion that Israel is “aggressive”, with a majority of Germans being sympathetic to the so-called “Palestinians” (a sizable percentage believes that Israel is conducting a war of extermination against the “Palestinians” despite the fact that there are ten times more Arabs in the Levant compared with 1920 and the number of Jews has shrunk).

I’m fully aware of the whole charade of “anti-Zionism” and how damaging that has been to the just cause of Israel. However, the European media basically STARTS to the Left of Pacifica NPR, and Europeans have been barraged with well funded (Saudi $$$??) ant-Israel propaganda for at least a generation now.

Ask your average American Ivy-League university student....and they too have been brain-washed by the anti-Israel, “poor little innocent deprived Palestinian” “big-bad-Israel” propaganda machine too.

I honestly do not think however, the current anti-Semitism in Europe is home-grown, it’s a product of a very well funded/crafted propaganda effort by Islamist money, and immigration.

Mark Steyn has written about how, in incredible irony, the over-the-top multi-culturalism in Europe (and in the USA) was begun and fostered out of guilt for past racism (in Europe the Holocaust, and in the USA, slavery and segregation) but opened the floodgates for mass immigration into Europe of some of the most bigoted, racist, illiberal, anti-Israel peoples on the planet: Muslims and Eastern Europeans.

Governments and academic/cultural institutions are afraid of offending the new immigrants, and so go along with their anti-Semitism—which only encourages the 10% or so of the native population who still harbor neo-Nazi sympathies...

So hyper-liberal/multi-culturalist cowardice, very ironically fosters hyper-illiberal bigotry.
