You have got to stop this stalking and trying to drag me into threads that I’m not on, to carry your arguments from thread to thread.

I remember when the US seante ws filled with genuine Lib Republicans Coooper, Case,Percy, pearson, weicker, goodell, Hatfield, Packwood,Mathias and others. These were real liberals not just moderates or squishes. But they were all better then any of the Dems(well almost all of them). They were genrally Republcians and supported you on the partisan issues(Goodell and Weicker excepted). The Rinos of today are not liberal like they are they are just squishes. The problem isn’t so much with the moderates it is the backstabbers namely McCain and Grahamamnesty. These idiots both have generally conservative records that are not lib. But, they have an ego driven need to stab you in the back when it is really important. These two they need to be replaced no matter what.

NO ONE is looking for perfection in a political candidate. NOT ONE SINGLE FREEPER that I have ever seen in 12 years of FReeping.

However, there are many who accuse others of looking for perfection in a political candidate. THAT is as far as it goes.

Anyone anywhere who accuses someone of seeking a "perfect" political candidate is openly, intentionally insulting that person. THAT IS AS FAR AS IT GOES.

Why? Because any sensible person understands the truth of what you write: Perfection won’t be found on this mortal coil till Christ returns and then it’ll only be Him.

I know it, you know it, and I guarantee you that every person on Free Republic knows it, even if they're atheists. THEREFORE, the only function of accusing someone of seeking a "perfect" political candidate is to intentionally insult that someone.

THAT IS AS FAR AS IT GOES.

“The purists assume that the GOPe WANTS to win a presidential election.”

It was astonishing that H. Bush, Bob Dole, John McCain and Mitt Romney ran such poor campaigns. My thinking at the time was, except for H. Bush and Romney that it was their last chance to play for the brass ring. They’d banked enough political capital and had enough chips to play. But they were incredibly bad candidates.

In business I’ve seen horrible candidates politic for and get high status jobs they were unsuited for. It’s a disaster, though usually not for the jobseeker who gets a golden parachute. All of the above ran anemic lackadaisical campaigns. I don’t think it was because they didn’t want the job. I think it was because they had been locked into their various jobs with no serious rivals so they didn’t know how to run a competitive campaign. Because ego-wise, they all wanted that job.

Obama was transported into the office twice by the media and white guilt. We see how horrible he is at the job because, like the others, he never really had to defend himself. He stands before the few angry questions he does get like a deer in the headlights. Pitiful.

Okay so the morality of the demographic changes is what will doom the GOP... the end result is the same.

What is the destiny of a civilization that denies the morality God teaches?

What is the destiny of a civilization that strives to respect and live up to that morality?

I stand by my words. I am SICK of seeing Carl Rove's lie posted as "wisdom," that "Demography is destiny."

BULLCRAP. Immoral people of any demographic will face the same consequences; moral people of any demographic will fare better when they live morally.

Demography is PRETENSE. Demographics seek to dictate morality/votes by race or class, ignoring individual morality and putting ALL on a person's race, ethnicity, sex, whatever.

Morality is destiny. We're seeing it in America today, as it becomes increasingly amoral and immoral, its destiny seems headed more and more toward the sewer.

I would not vote for Mitt Romneycare any more than for Obama.

And your post, full of “I suspects” makes it clear that you know little about the turd and never heard of him until he ran for the presidency.

Had we Mitt Romney, we would still have the affordable care act, we would still have homosexual marriage, we would still have homosexuals in the boy scouts, and we would still have the big push to get citizenship for illegals. Every one of those issues were his agenda when he was Governor of Massachusetts.

And all the ire Obamacare is drawing down on the Democrats would be directed instead at Republicans...setting the Democrats up with a real chance to implement the single payer system they really want. Which would give them the ability to abuse access to medicine in the same way they are using the IRS now.

No thanks.

I will pass.

How about going to the trouble of actually saying what you mean instead of expecting me to read your mind? Please elaborate, as I really seek to improve myself. I don't understand what you mean when you say:

I think you really do got a trust-in-princes mindset.

What are you trying to say? Stop being lazy and START GOING TO THE TROUBLE OF COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY.

The imperfect republican lead to the charge that there is no difference between the parties. The corruption in the GOPe gave cover for the wrongs done by the left. We have played that game for decades. History has shown that a corrupt administration can be the door for overthrow by a dictator.

Time for a new game. The Tea party may not have a solid slate of national candidates (yet), but they are doing very well at the small/local level. That is a place where they can begin to make a difference, a place where they can demonstrate the ability to govern and run for office and over time, a place where our national leaders will come from.

So you think a person’s morality depends on a person’s race, sex, ethnicity, or religion? In other words, you think demographic data will reveal to you that person’s morality?

“Last weak on my radio show” I gave a caller advice on how to access Obamacare.

That's like giving a man advice on how to cheat on his wife. It may be that he's going to do it with or without your input, but it's still immoral to contribute to the act.

Romney was about as IMPERFECT as they come.

And the GOP establishment was astounded (for the second time) that CHRISTIANS would not vote for him!

All that you said about Romney was true, but what else might be different? Obama collapsed Libya and turned it from a neutered neutral into an active breeding ground for terror. Obama destroyed our relationship with virtually every ally. Obama has made America weaker and facilitated the murder of more troops in Afganistan and other theaters with his “companionate” restraint ROI. Obama has gutted not just the military’s ability and equipment, but has conducted warfare on officers. We just kept out of another war in Syria which Biden promised would be paid for by Saudi Arabia. We are now in danger with Russia over half a dozen potential flash points with utterly incompetent people manning the mechanisms on our side that might signal the wrong thing and create a real hell on earth. He let our ambassador in the Ukraine meet with and get recorded telling the protestors to use force. (That’s an act of war which Russia has so far ignored. It might work as a community organizer’s tactic, but it’s out of place in the wider world.) We and our allies are in incredible danger because we have an idiot or worse in charge.
