This is a karambit. They are very popular right now so there is a multitude of styles to choose from. You can have it ready closer and faster than even a concealed carry gun, and if the threat recedes, they don't even know you had one.

It avoids problems that might happen if you draw down on "children", but if the little savages attack - snicker snak!

Bowie knife, original pattern derived from Spanish hunting/fighting knives, clip-edge blade usu. but not necessarily sharpened on both edges (thinned in any case to reduce mass near the point and facilitate stabbing). When sharpened on the clip edge, the latter was used for backslashing as in sabre fighting. Equally useful for stabbing and slashing, and powerful on the downswing because of the mass of the 1/4"-thick blade. Absolutely deadly in blade lengths >6" up to 13".

Snick or snee!! (I’ll take the snick).

DH was lurking over my shoulder, saw the graphic and recognized that fine, small instrument immediately, said he was going to get one for each of us.

Good for those of us in states like California with jerks like sen. Feinstein and Gov. moonbeam leading us — a gun for ME but not for THEE.
