The top 2-4” of earth is like grease/slime here; everything below that is still frozen solid. I haven’t been able to get out to my friend’s West York Farm to do any shooting/trigger tests yet. We’re going to have to bring-in 20-30 tons of crushed stone this summer and stone the bench areas; grass just isn’t holding-up with even mild traffic.
Farmers will be in the fields with heavy machinery, within the next 10-15 days, unless the mud’s still so bad.
My range is in the trinity river bottom so we always have to bring in crushed rock.
