As previously reported at Breitbart, Ernst is one of several conservative candidates who are running against a wealthy businessman with a strikingly liberal record. Nonsense. Ernst was an early backer of Mitt Romney in 2007 and 2011, not something a conservative would do.

I have met her personally, she’s from very conservative SW Iowa. She came across as the real deal to me.
Now, keep in mind that she replaced now Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds in the state senate seat. As such, she does have some endorsements from the so-called Establishment that are friends of Gov. Branstad. IMO the real Establishment candidate is Mark Jacobs however.
Bottom line is, whenever I’ve heard her she has been no apologies conservative, despite the endorsements, which are more due to being in the right (or wrong) place at the right time than her ideology.
