First of all, I don’t know anything about the actual facts of this case, and neither does anyone else commenting on the internet.
It’s pretty obvious, though, that the CH team believes her mother is injuring her, psychologically perhaps but more likely physically, and that her father is deceived. This is the usual pattern in what is called “Munchausen’s by proxy”.
This is a hard diagnosis to make, and the presumption of innocence (medical, not legal) is difficult to overcome.
For CH to go for this, I have to believe they’ve got the evidence.
Sorry the are a CH they get money and leeway from the state (heck all States) FIRST and FORMOST
...........ok, assuming arguendo that everything you say is correct, then what about the other team of doctors......................it seems their opinions are being relegated to the trashcan while the other docs views are elevated to Mt. Rushmore..............???
Again, if the parents were barricaded inside their home and were defying medical opinion that would be one thing. But, they have a team of docs on their side too. I just don’t get that part.
It appears to me that the somatoform diagnosis is different from the Munchausen’s diagnosis in that the patient believes themselves to be ill, even to the point of experiencing pain. This is different than Munchausen’s in a significant way, yes?
