Cops: 5 in custody for Temple attacks (Hate crimes near campus)

It's not clear why a group of high school girls lashed out at Temple University students Friday, but, with five girls in custody, police are hoping to get that answer soon.

Five girls, ranging from 14 to 17 years old, turned themselves in to Central Detectives today, Capt. Frank Banford said. The girls came forward after seeing news reports about a series of three attacks near Temple's campus Friday night, one of which left a female student bruised and bloodied after being hit with a brick.

"They saw themselves in the video, and knew that sooner or later, they would get caught," Banford said.

a lot of great schools are right smack dab in the middle of the ghetto, although i don’t know why that is.

Because of the need/desire for student apartments and temporary dwellings. When the student population is very transient and the residential owners are absentee, the properties get run down and the streets fill with trash and beer bottles... so property values start sliding lower and lower, until it's easier for low-incomes to move in. And when the white college kids are boozing and feeling invincible and taking crazy chances, away from their sheltered environments for the first time, they are easy pickin's.

Some of the schools are on the border, in a good section known as Center City. U Penn is smack in the middle of Center City. Drexel is also in there. But, I’m told (by a son who’s lived there) that the border between the ok and the not-ok parts is unusually sharp, not gradual.

Yep, you go one street too far and you are in big trouble.

But it’s not just in Philly, I’ve seen the exact same sort of situation in Buffalo, NY, Alexandria, VA and even in Lancaster, PA.

In the latter case, what used to be very quiet & safe areas of the city proper are now overrun and quite scary — mostly due to a large shelter set up for the homeless (i.e.: alcoholics, drug addicts and/or those released from institutions who do not take their medications)

Bush’s fault.

Yikes, Look at all this awful un-PC profiling. There is no need to focus on the scholastic-ness of the perpetrators like this, it puts a bad meme on high schools. Also, a despicable reference to gender profiling, just because they are girls. Awful reference to groups, as if groups are to blame.

How far have we gone!

It's pretty telling we are forced to foreign newspapers to get pictures of the thugs.

It's also interesting the thugs got into the neighborhood on "public transportation". That means we also get to facilitate and subsidize them getting there to commit their crimes.

Do you want to know why so many malls end up deserted and closed, even in "good" suburban areas? Just look up when "public transportation" hooked up the inner city to the mall area and you will discover the "when" and the "why" things went downhill fast. Nobody feels safe shopping or visiting with feral thugs running around and preying on the innocent like the predators they are.

No decent person is safe when these savages get into the area.

I grew up in Newtown Square in the 60s and 70s. My Dad grew up in poverty in West Philly during the 20s and 30s. He told me that when he was growing up, he felt safe walking the city streets at night. Consider that he was nine when the depression began. Everyone was poor, and there were few gun laws, yet crime was minimal. Wait, don’t liberals claim that guns and poverty lead to crime? I would not head north on Broad Street on foot tonight if you paid me.

-- Attacks like these should be considered automatic attempted murder ...--

At minimum, it is assault with a deadly weapon. In PA, this is aggravated assault. Section 2702(a)(4): "attempts to cause or intentionally or knowingly causes bodily injury to another with a deadly weapon" Ten year maximum incarceration, max $25,000 fine. These people need to be hit with civil suits to cover medical, pain, suffering, etc. That'll be WAY more than $25,000. Bankrupt the families.

RE: DoJ's criminal victimization in the United States and national crime victimization survey

I have formatted and posted some of the information about black-on-white and white-on-black violence found in these DoJ reports
1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008
however

looks like the aged 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats and their ideological issue in the Obama/Holder Department of Just Us and Our People have sanitized the national crime victimization surveys following the year 2008.

There was a relatively standard format and full disclosure vis-a-vis interracial crimes. No longer. At least I don't see it in the new format.

Here is the 2012 example Criminal Victimization, 2012

“...the border between the ok and the not-ok parts is unusually sharp, not gradual.”

I lived in a place like that, right on the edge of Crown Heights (of riot infamy) in Brooklyn. Crown heights is right next to Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum, the Botanical Gardens, the main Library, they were all a short walk from our apartment. And even where we lived must have been gorgeous at some point, our apt. actually had a maid’s room with it’s own bathroom.

You would walk around the perimeter of Grand Army Plaza and every building was a doorman building, you would turn the corner onto our block and *boom* you were in the ghetto.

Yeah, that was one of the places my brother got mugged, as I mentioned in my previous post. So eventually we moved to Park Slope on the other side of Flatbush avenue.

That was after the rent strike, led by my brother and the other white people who lived in our building. Our landlord was truly a shyster, that was a fact. But of course they brought in some “community organizer”. I think only me and one old black lady had his number, everyone else fell for his BS.

I told my brother that we would escrow our rent money ourselves, which we did. And then we used it to move after the final mugging. (I’m sorry to say this, but he got mugged by little kids so it was more embarrassing than anything else.) I don’t know what it’s like now, but in those days nobody in NY would come after you for breaking a lease, they could rent the apt. out so fast.

It was good we did that, because OF COURSE Mr.Community Organizer stole all the rent escrows.

Good old time in bad old NYC.

“Lash out”

Lib-speak for reparations. White people deserve it. That’s why they must be disarmed.
