Premiums for employer-provided family coverage rose $3,065 24% from 2008 to 2012, the Kaiser survey found.
At a campaign stop in Columbus, Ohio, in February 2008, Obama promised that "We are going to work with you to lower your premiums by $2,500. We will not wait 20 years from now to do it, or 10 years from now to do it. We will do it by the end of my first term as president.

Bump
The article is from 2012. My insurance has gone up 36% in 2013 and another 38% in 2014. That’s a decrease in the rate of increase but the amount is higher each year. (Self employed)
This will not last too much longer.
Bammy’s not even embarrassed or takes accountability that his promises ended up the exact opposite. If your word is no good, they you are no good—simple as that.
So the President cut the cost of healthcare by $2500 per family, but he added all these goodies (like unlimited shrink visits for psychos and abortion on demand) that premiums ended up increasing by $3000.
So he can say that he KEPT HIS PROMISE as premiums would have increased by $5500 had the same ‘improvements’ been done, but without his help in getting costs down.
Net effect: $3000 (cost increase) - $5500 (improvements) = $2500 SAVINGS!!!
Thank you Big O!!! Yeah.
sorry-—not they, ‘then’...... dopey me not proof reading.
stop your freakin` complaining-—
this is `the new order`.
get used to it. Period.
Hey, let’s change the subject. Don’t look into these alegations. It’s racist to even bring up this matter.
What's more, premiums climbed faster in Obama's four years than they did in the previous four under President Bush, the survey data show.
Lying...
"Democrat" for raison d'être.
.
No one that was paying attention, other than the Obamabots, really believed his story.
It is simply beyond credulity to believe that you can add 30 million uninsured (many of which will be high end users of medical services) to the insurance rolls with out adding millions of new doctors (which is impossible) with out drastic increases in insurance premiums.
Even anyone with the simplest understanding of economics (price versus demand) should get that prices must rise.
Of course many listened to Mr. Hope and Change without a single analytical thought to what he is saying and swallow the hook, line and sinker.
The sad part is...he knew Republicans would never support it, so any lies he told were to his own party, to get their support.
