To understand why all one has to do is visit an ER, DMV or and public assistance office in this valley.

We're a 'nation of immigrants' doncha know.

In the Mission District, there is the same per capita TB rate as Mexico, which globally is pretty high.

GOSH I WONDER WHY.

Another of the “advantages” of open borders.

Free T.B.

In our own hemisphere Brazil scores very high..on the lost of TB. incidences, as do Haiti, Argentina, The Bahamas..etc...etc.

I avoid movie theaters in Silicon Valley. One can get concentrated dose of TB infection. Offices are another place, avoid skinny.

When my predecessors came from Ireland they were subjected to a health check at Ellis Island. If you failed you were sent back. That safety check has been eliminated today.

The devolution of Western society. TB and smallpox were almost totally eradicated. Now, they are coming back.

What will our children's children know of the achievements of their ancestors? Will they know we went to the moon? Eradicated most infectious diseases? Nearly destroyed malaria with DDT? Or will all of that be lost in the mists of time, to an uneducated, Lord of the Flies type society, living in the tattered remains of their ancestors' civilization?

"… having been born abroad in or traveled to countries with high TB rates, including India, …"

Last weekend I participated in a garage sale at a friend's home in Santa Clara county. Half the people who came were Indians from India. The county has been taken over by Asians (2/3rds of he populace are Asian of all types including Indians). If I knew about this TB thing and the large numbers of Indians there, I might not have participated in the garage sale. Thankfully, no one coughed on me. These people are cheapskates, nickel and diming me down to almost nothing, and then after money changes hands, coming back and trying to get more without paying any more. Cheapskates! (I'm speaking of the foreigners, not the American-born Indians.)

“180,000 people in the county have the disease in latent form”

OMG!

That’s one out of every ten people.

I can’t believe this is happening.

When will the collectivists scream that the, “risk assessments” are racist?

The source of TB is not “Asians” (are you from the UK ?) but is from Mexicans and similar garden spots south of there.

My wife had an illegal alien “special needs” student who showed up playing with a dirty diaper - not wearing one - plating with one. Her mother’s excuse was that she got angry if anyone tried to take it away from her ! She was (tada !) an illegal Mexican alien.

We get largely the dregs of society from Mexico and South America.

Deporting ALL their asses AND all their anchor babies would dramatically improve public health, the crime rate, road safety, school overcrowding, you name it.

I lumped Indians with Asians (as I noted) because that's the way a lot of stats are done. Originally, when I had heard that parts of Silicon Valley were 2/3rd Asian, I thought they meant primarily Chinese, Korean, Japanese and similar. Nope, there is a large presence of people from India in the tech sector that have brought extended family to Silicon Valley, and they are part of the stats published. Practically every article regarding race statistics dwells on white, Asian, black and latinos - no separate breakdown of Indians apart from Asians. I've worked with a lot of Indians in the tech sector over the last forty years, but never imagined they would grow to such a large percentage of the local populace. They are not all the same, just as with other racial groups. Some have the same mindset as us when it comes to cleanliness. But if you have ever studied Indian culture, you will find that many Indian subgroups are unclean. They don't use toilet paper, but use their hands to wipe. Along with some other nasty habits.

I don't personally know of any latinos who have similar habits. I know a lot of latinos from Central and South America, and they do not appear to be the "dregs" as is the case with Mexicans who illegally come here. Regarding illegal aliens, I agree that they should be deported. If they aren't coming here via legal paths, then they are like a disease that should be eradicated (the situation, not advocating killing people).
