Michelle's Hard-Knock Life Story Comes to China
American Thinker ^ | 3/26/2014 | Jeannie DeAngelis

Posted on 03/26/2014 4:58:27 AM PDT by rktman

Recycling her tried-and-true American dream story, Michelle Obama gave Chinese schoolchildren the same stump speech she delivers everywhere she goes, from Ireland to Chicago. The FLOTUS has used her hard-knock life tale to justify more vacations for herself than her husband has golf balls.

1. Golf has balls. fauxbama doesn't.

2. How did Jeannie get this info since no press is allowed on this China trip supposedly?

3. These assclowns should receive oscars for their acting abilities. Never seen anyone that can flat out lie with such a straight face.

4. These didiots wouldn't know a hard days work if it smacked them upside the head.

Hardknock life my butt. Crimea river.

To a liberal, a lie stuck to is as good as the truth.

To a lib there is no such thing as a lie. Especially if it furthers their goals. If the “believe”, it’s true. :>}

I dunno. Taken in isolation, I didn't have a problem with these specific comments. Not that they are earth shattering or profound, but they did accentuate the positives about the American political/economic system. Her point was that you can have success no matter what socioeconomic level you started out that. It was a good message that you would expect from a diplomat or somebody representing this country.

Of course, she would never give this speech on a college campus where one must play the victim card to get that generous speaking fee.

Her pricey China trip was "sold" to Americans as a "non-political" visit to chat up education.

But all of her appearances and stupid remarks were connivingly structured for one purpose: to set herself up as a future candidate....and doing it on our dime.

MISSION CREEP The final explanation was that the trip and the tripe she was pedaling was "soft diplomacy" --to "ease tensions" between the US and China.

Come again? Who elected this self-serving creep? Who gave her diplomat credentials?

Seems Obama is still bribing her after the Mandela Memorial blond fiasco. Moocher got the $12,000 Herrara dress, a state dinner to hostess, and the trip to China.....so far.

The Obama's Entitlement Disease keeps eating away at America's greatness.

I was born in an old shack with a leaky tin roof, a wood stove in the kitchen, an outhouse and no running water. I started picking cotton as soon as I was able to understand the concept and that is the truth! Does that qualify me to say I was born a poor black child?

‘Hardknock life’ means having to give a speech or two to justify a 20 million dollar vacation.

Poor woman. I bet she didn’t get her first .gov handout until she was twelve years old. Then, she got on the fast track, having the world handed to her because of what color she happened to be. As a white guy, if I were placed in her exact situation, I’d been lucky to become a garbage man(NOT belittling garbage men).

Her husband is probably even worse. I think he was a chronic loser who happened to choose the right group of Communists to hang around while he was growing up. Of course, his past is something of a ‘black hole’(no pun intended), and about all we know about him has either been made up for popular consumption or exaggerated. We’ll never really know or have the ability to verify for ourselves.

If I were looking to get a job, told my perspective employer that I graduated from a prestigious university, but kept everything about it a secret, I doubt I’d get the job. I guess he can show people a diploma, but anyone with a printer, publishing/graphics software, and some fancy paper can make one of those in about five minutes.

She wasn’t poor as a child. Her dad was a patronage hack, “working” for the city water department and a precinct captain.

Writing should be guided by Strunk and White's The Elements of Style and particularly the dictum "Omit Needless Words".

In this garrulous screed, she should have also "Omitted Inane Thoughts".

Other than demonstrating her poor writing and thinking skills this thesis seems pointless.

“I’m sure that to this administration that still counts as white privilege.”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

That is no doubt true! I still recall forty years ago working on a copier in the mail room of a textile mill a half hour drive from where I live now. There were three young black guys working in the mail room and they were talking about how tough black people had it. I started describing for them exactly how I, the tall, milk white, nordic looking dude had grown up and they refused to believe it. They were convinced that no white person had ever picked cotton in South Carolina. This was in 1974 and these guys had been born in the fifties in South Carolina. How they could believe such a thing is mind boggling to me.
It is almost as absurd as believing that no white person ever made whiskey in Kentucky.

We have to remember, all politicians are liars and exaggerate their beginnings. Some more so than others.
Early 19th Century politicians all stressed their relationship to the Revolution.
Mid 19th Century were all born in a log cabin or were just one generation removed from that cabin.
Late 19th Century and early 20th Century they all were officers in the unCivil War. Both sides.
Mid 20th Century they all survived the Depression and won WWII.
Late 20th Century and early 21st, they all either marched with MLK or just missed out on being lynched.
