Yes, I actually thought it looked a lot more magnificent than the Washington monument. There wasn't that change in the type of stone used 1/3rd of the way up like the one in D.C. I guess that even though it made it less attractive, it did make it a dual purpose historical monument that reminds one of ol George AND the civil war as well. Oh well.

We had a nice stay in Baytown before tearing off to Cape Canaveral to see one of the last shuttles take off in person before the Obama maladministration killed our manned space program. Shazzam!!!
