The school’s response will be to require all conflict resolution specialists to wear helmets.

When you let the predators run the zoo, no animal is safe. I think that if some of these predators started having...accidents, things would improve very quickly. Just sayin.

Hmm...my high school’s conflict resolution specialist was the boys’ PE teacher. Former NFL lineman. I don’t recall anyone ever taking a swing at him. Must be because he was such a great psychologist.

as a rule, if you are going to be a conflict resolution specialist, it's better if you are BIGGER than those whose conflict you are resoluting...
prolly some pencilnecked geek who thought his title entitled him to not having to get his hands dirty

Anyone else remember the line from The Fifth Element, the one just after Bruce Willis shoots one of the ‘terrorists’ point blank in the forehead.
“Who else wants to negotiate”?
“No one?”

The schools in Philly are really zoos, where the kids are basically housed for a few hours a day. There is no book learning going on. Teachers do not last long if at all.
They are a miserble failure, a product of decades of Democrat corruption, incompetence and malfeasance.

My mother graduated from Bartram in 1946, married my father the next year. I suspect the school has changed somewhat since her day.

A 17-year-old student got into a verbal exchange with Stevens then grabbed him by the arm "and pushed him into the wall," All the while, the conflict resolution specialist was heard to be encouraging the student, "Use your words! Use your words!"

And yet teachers at the school were still complaining that their real problem was that there wasn’t enough staff - if only what they had already would only do their job.......
