Well heck considering only 10 people in the federal government makes 100K that is only 6 people and 4 woman. The rest of us are lucky to make 40K.

Ah, yes. Once again we see that stupid trope that because women tend to make career choices based on the fact that they put being wives and mothers ahead of career, and so they don’t advance as fast as men through their careers, there is rampant sexism going on.

Equal pay for equal work has been the norm for decades.

Given the HIGH PERCENTAGES of women that drop out of the workforce to raise a family, I’m actually SURPRISED that over one third of those making $100k are women.

That tells me that the system is already rigged against men.

Back in the 70’s, well over 90% of Federal employees who made a comparable salary were men. There were very few women who were GS-13 or above.

According to the article,

Federal workforce in 2013 -——— women 43.5%, men 56.5%
Those earning over $100,000 -—— women 36.7%, men 63.3%

And the gap is closing by .7% per year.

Speaking from experience, that 36.7% is running the show at those agencies...Lois Lerner, Sebelius, etc.
