I thought what happens in the jury room, stays in the jury room. If jurors don’t feel free to discuss the case, why bother with a jury trial at all? As it is, judges try and force juries to follow their dictates and generally despise foundation concepts like jury nullification.

Yeah, but IF during the deliberations, one had inadvertently said ‘The bartender said he fLagged him’ and one of the other jurors said - “DID you just call him a Fag?”, all hell would break loose.

I’ll use that excuse next time I get pulled over. “ Sorry officer, you can’t give me that ticket, I’m a homo.”

Juror misconduct seems to be the new method employed to keep the privileged guilty from serving their sentence. The Goodman vehicular manslaughter trial is currently held up because of juror misconduct, now this one. Polo mogul kills kid with his Bentley after a night of drinking.....out on bail while the misconduct issue is sorted out. Homo runs over pedestrian after drinking....will be out on bail while the misconduct issue is sorted out.

My gut tells me that the end goal here is to drag it out long enough that those who are emotionally invested in it (the victim families) will be so happy to see some justice that they'll accept a meager semblance of it.

If a juror has a bias in one way or another, isn’t that what the jury selection process is for?

...22-year-old Miami Heat dancer....

I am not a sports fan, but I do know that Miami Heat is a basketball team, so I am puzzled about the definition of a Miami Heat dancer.

Jury nullification is the one big tool average people have for overturning unjust laws.

That the defense bar, who funnels money to D’s in a way that unions only wish they could, would be going after this last bastion is consistent with the goals of the Socialist party, which used to be the Democrat party.

The fact that I truly do not know if you are kidding or not is a very sad commentary on how far our culture has sunken.
