March 27, 2014, 10:07 am Reid to reimburse more campaign funds for gifts

By Rebecca Shabad

The amount Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) plans to reimburse his reelection campaign jumped from about $16,000 to at least $31,000, according to reports.

On Tuesday, Nevada journalist Jon Ralston reported that 2016 campaign funds were given to Reid’s granddaughter, Ryan Elisabeth Reid, which she used to buy gifts for donors.

The younger Reid sells jewelry in Berkley, Calif.

In the initial report, Ralston reported that the amount was more than $16,000.

On Wednesday night, he discovered Reid’s campaign paid his granddaughter at least $14,000 more in 2012, bringing the total to about $31,000.

Reid said in a statement, after the initial report, that he would reimburse the campaign for the amount spent on thank-you gifts made by his granddaughter.

Asked about the additional expenditures on Wednesday, Reid reiterated to Ralston that he would reimburse the campaign, and said his granddaughter was being harassed.

“My granddaughter has been the target of harassing phone calls, strangers tracking her down and knocking on her door, and negative, unwanted attention on the Internet. This has gone too far and it needs to stop now. I deeply regret any role I had in creating this situation but now, as a grandparent, I say enough is enough,” Reid said, according to Ralston.

Last Friday, the Federal Election Committee sent a letter to Reid asking him to explain the expenditures from a 2013 campaign filing.

“Itemized disbursements must include a brief statement of description of why each disbursement was made,” the letter said.

Reid is not up for reelection until 2016, but announced he began planning for another campaign last October.

I live for the day when these corrupt people are wearing orange and staring out from behind the locked doors of the Graybar Hotel.

harry reid’s accountant to harry ... don’t worry harry, an accounting trick here and there and you will not lose any money out of your pocket. We’ll use campaign donations, as we always have in the past. Don’t worry harry. I’ve got this!

Sorry, just reimbursing isn’t enough. He should be PROSECUTED like Republicans are when they are caught in criminal activity!

Based on Reid giving the $17,000 back will mean now that a common thief can now just give what they stole back and all will be well, no charges, no crime.

Reminder: Approved by the US government, several trillion was bilked from the US citizens by Wall Street banksters since 2007, and not one person has yet to be indicted.

Okie dokey, can someone, anyone please “F’n” explain to me how what dingy harry did is somehow “more different” than what Former Virginia Governor Robert F. McDonnell is being accused of.

Because if you asked me, Bob McDonnell didn’t do a damn thing wrong, but this thing with dingy harry...this is criminal behavior.

So either they both are worthy of an incitement or neither are, IMHO.

I maybe am all wet with what am about to type, because many will disagree with my post, and first and foremost I want you to know that I agree with you but back around the 1860s there was a War of Northern Aggression fought by the States up North and the States down South. It was a setup from the first shots fired. Once the North won the Federal Government said, Hey listen up you rebel states ... We Won, We Decide ... much like obama and the democRATs of today ... We Won, We Decide. Therefore the States currently have no rights if the Federals can find a crooked lawyer or three hundred thousand or such. Is a simple explanation but is my humble opinion.

But, in typical liberal MO, he plays the victim card, “stop picking on my poor granddaughter”.

From the well of the Senate.

Instead of “Dingy” Harry, can we now start calling him “Dirty Harry?”

It would be the icing on the cake if Mr. Reed were investigated then thrown OUT of the Senate.

“I still want to know why the Mormon Church has not excommunicated Dingy Harry????????”

Answer: They would loose their considerable investment. The Mormon Church paid for Harry’s education (well the Mormon Church and the Mustang Ranch Brothel). Hum, two “houses of worship,” who knew?

Reid’s granddaughter, Ryan Elisabeth Reid....

***
It figures Reid would have a granddaughter with a boy’s name.

In other words, Reid is proving his philosophy is ‘I did nothing illegal if you don’t catch me. Then, if you discover it, I can pay it back and the owned media will give me absolution, so screw you, America.’
