Nearly 100,000 Russian forces have massed on Ukraine's border, a top Ukrainian defense official told an American audience Thursday, giving a number far higher than US military estimates.
"Almost 100,000 soldiers are stationed on the borders of Ukraine and in the direction ... of Kharkiv, Donetsk," Andriy Parubiy, chairman of Ukraine's national security council, said via a webcast from Kiev.
"Russian troops are not in Crimea only, they are along all Ukrainian borders. They're in the south, they're in the east and in the north," Parubiy said.

Time for Barry to move that red line again. Then leak some statements to the press i.e. “A land-bridge to the newly Russifed regions in the Crimea would not be challenged, but if they go beyond that, the international community will impose costs.”
The headline should be re-written:
“REGIONAL POWER” RUSSIA MASSES 100,000 TROOPS ON UKRAINIAN BORDER.

I'm leaning toward a sudden incursion at any time. Putin went into Georgia while he was sitting next to Bush at the Beijing Olympics. Obama and Kerry are in the Middle East Friday.
100,000 troops is a lot to support. An invasion is coming soon if this news it true.

Some were guessing what they were....I wouldn’t know what kind they are....just they were positioning there.
There’s some interesting videos I put on another thread of transporting long trains of tanks and military vehicles etc....these have been spotted by people at rail crossings taking photos and videos .....was quite something seeing them being transported....this was the first of the week.
I’m not so sure Putin’s going to ‘war’ over Ukraine at all.....rather preparing for whatever “opportunity” might present itself for him to act...I don’t think he’s going to charge in...rather if anything he’ll wait till elections and see how the people handle the outcome...if there’s too much unrest he’ll go in I think. We already know the Europeans and Obama said they will not go to war over Ukraine...
You don’t need a force that large to merely send a message.

I don’t know if Ukraine is right. I don’t know if Russia is right. The one thing I’m absolutely sure of is that Obama and Kerry will find a way to make it worse.
