Definitely, we as a society are doing something very wrong. I believe that our neurological epidemics are caused by environmental substances. Perhaps plastics, perhaps pesticides, perhaps something in the air or water or food. Every piece of clothing comes awash in chemicals, which slip into the bloodstream. Nearly every washing detergent and other laundry aids are filled with neurotoxins. Our food is, too, packaged foods filled with bad oils and MSG, proven brain poison. And what about our homes and cars? Every new piece of furniture, bedding, mattresses, carpets, and some flooring give off toxic gases. Anything even slightly nonstick in cooking pans passes toxics into the food. Which often is toxic itself: GMO oils or rancid ones which do very poorly heated.

Most people scoff at the idea of eating clean and pure, and making sure the house is, too. But it might save our children.

The only child of my four that was fully vaccinated on the doctors’ insanely early schedule is on the spectrum as well.

If you’ve spent years around young kids, you know that the increase in autism is NOT BULL. And it isn’t due to overdx. In every smallish gathering now there is at least one. And they are not just “different” or “nerdy.” There is an obvious discrepancy in the way they process EVERYTHING. And it doesn’t go away or change depending on the environment. This is real.

I understand this source is not well respected, but that does not negate the fact that there is information worth considering in this article:

Are you talking about WorldNetDaily or the Centers for Disease a Control and Prevention?

Yes, only the most ignorant or the ones who are “pushing an agenda” - would not recognize it. It is definitely real.

My mom taught elementary school beginning in the early 1960’s and retired in 1993. She wasn’t around lots of little kids again until the late ‘00’s when my kids came along. She is horrified at the changes in the little kids. And it isn’t because they haven’t been spanked. Spanking is still popular around here. She was surprised to note that NONE of the little boys made eye contact. None of them. Even she believes something is definitely up.

Yeah, there is a freeper contingent who is so old school, they think whipping a child with a belt will beat out autism. Sad.

I agree with your mom. It’s something that is affecting our brains and reproductive systems. There is also an epidemic of infertility, as well as a huge increase in some genitalia abnormalities, and even I would say in sex identities and orientations. The brain and reproductive systems are the most delicate and most affected by toxins in the environment.

Totally agree.

Getting anyone in ‘charge’ to agree is another matter. There’s a whole industry that profits and loves those with orientation issues. Particularly the ‘population control’ ones that seem to run things. Infertility and homosex are just what the doctor ordered when it comes to population control.

And if the rest of the population is crazy, all the better. More excuses to clamp down on freedoms.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. You spout nonsense based on “feelings”. Now that’s lib thinking!

Your right. FACT. Autism is costing the country a fortune and the parents are becoming rich over it. Fake disease is bankrupting our country. Thanks for the “hit in the head”.

I have never doubted the existence of autism—it is real. I have never doubted some reasonable increase in autism. I DO, however, have significant doubts about the RATE of increase, just as I have significant doubts about the prevalence of ADD and ADHD. There is something else going on behind the scenes in the med and pharma industries.

Before I got too far into it, this occurred to me. Has the criteria for ASD changed in the last 5, 10, 15 years? If so, when?

I’ve actually only become aware of it in the last three years, so perhaps asking that question on the most recent thread (which is real active right now) - might get you an answer.

Our grandson’ s pediatrician told our daughter-in-law not to give our six month old grandson cereal. Just vegetables first then fruit. It seems to me that a baby needs more calories than that to supplement milk. Found out that there is a doctor conducting a “white out” campaign against rice cereal.
