I’m not sorry I have to experience a child with autism. We love him very much and he brings much joy to us. I’m only sorry there are o many idiots in the world that don’t have a friggin clue what they are talking about.
A friend of mine adopted her grandson. He is on the autistic spectrum and has other issues. There is nothing in the world like a hug or I love you from that little boy. I thank God every day that he is with someone who loves him for who he is. She tries everything to make his life better.
I’m ASD(Aspergers). We were just never diagnosed when I was a kid. We had full-blown autistic kids but they were sometimes kept out of school.
Many of us just grew out of it although it still comes back. I work in an office full of IT types who only talk to their shoes. We have one guy on the hall who won’t speak at all.

My theory on Aspergers is television. Too much stimulation too early. I won’t even watch TV anymore.
Ours has a very sweet character and disposition. I sometimes wonder if that goes with this kind of condition.
