First you go after the Dems, the ones that make the splashiest headline are best. Probably someone who wouldn't play ball with the higher muckity-mucks in the feral government, or didn't donate as much as they should. It's a perfect opportunity to clean house.
THEN you wait to as close to elections as possible to go after the Pubbies....the conservative ones, of course. No detail will be too small nor no lie to big at this point. They'll be so busy fighting charges, they won't even have time to campaign.
It's a win/win situation for anyone trying to push us further down the (spit) progressive path.
