Agents swooped in on the Northwest Indiana office of Calumet Township Trustee Mary Elgin in a surprise raid Thursday morning. The federal raid closed the office most of the day Thursday. It is still unclear if the ongoing investigation and subsequent raid were sparked by an audit filed in April 2011 by the Indiana State Board of Accounts. In that document, they call into question record keeping, payroll issues, and accounting and billing collections by this office.

She s not being attacjked - she is being or her office is being investigated.
