Dingy Harry certainly was upset when quizzed by a reporter on the 31,000 to his granddaughters business, he refused to answer, saying “read my statement”. He prefaced that I believe by saying “fortunately I was able to write a check for the full amount and it has been paid” (Paraphrased)
Oh really, fortunately? How does a Senator write a check for 31,000 when he has to maintain a home in DC (I am told palace is a better description) and a home in Nevada (no doubt a similar palatial residence)?
How does he become a millionaire (7 million that he has allowed to/admitted to having enriched himself—who knows what he has in the offshore accounts) while in office on a Senator’s pay?
Dirty deals from day one, insider trading in stock and commodity markets, corrupt straw man real estate deals, and doesn’t the mob run Las Vegas? Surely they have not enriched the smug little pr1ck.
Will he be frog marched to prison as he should or will it just go away like it has his entire criminal career?
To add to my post #40, I believe that the rules of the Senate are that if a Senator explicitly references the floor remarks of another Senator, the citation must be of what is in the Congressional Record. Which can be scrubbed under the “revise and extend” rules.
I had a friend who was a Senate page in the late 70s or early 80s. Before they put in the TV cameras. He said Teddy Kennedy would show up on the floor raging drunk and go off on rambling, nonsensical rants. Which were cleaned up by his staff prior to being entered into the Congressional Record.
The videos showing him calling people liars who lost their healthcare coverage are lies. Fabrications made by the Koch brothers. He never lied about people lying, that’s a lie. Ever hear of CGI? Videos can be fabricated to make people say anything.
