You’ll note the conflict between what the White House is saying about the call, and what the Kremlin is??

The US readout of the call does not mention Transnistria, and instead has a demand that Russia pull out of Crimea.

I get the feeling the reality was far different than the spin. The White House output makes it sound like Obama “got tough” on Putin. The Kremlin releases say something different.

Russia is less likely to pull out of Crimea than the U.S is to pull out of Nebraska.

I believe the gist of it is....Obama sent Putin a list of demands.

He wants Putin to sign off in writing.

I think Putin just wants to keep this piece of history out in the open.

Last word...Merkel not happy about sanctions. They may not hurt the US but they will hurt the Germany and the EU in general.
