Some people say that movies like this are good for evangelism and “discussion,” but what about getting the best rather than settling for compromise? The Bible warns us strongly about not being “double-minded,” basicallly having divided loyalties to God and the world. And actually, we should note, from how the antichrist spirit wants all opposition to homosexuality, even in thought, eradicated, that the god of this world doesn’t settle for divided loyalties. He is always attempting to attack and break every tie a believer has to the Lord. He has no peace with Jesus, yet he knows Christians would not comfortably embrace Satanism. No, he must be an “angel of light,” something that Christians can excuse. The prayer that Jesus gave us to pray says, “Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” I read in a book about that meaning perfectly and instantly. That should be our heart’s desire. This movie may create debate, but it is likely to create more disinformation on the actual Bible and disinterest in (Cont’d)
Great movie. Saw it this morning. Be sure to read what most evangelicals ignore This movie was INSPIRED by the biblical account of Noah. Absolutely great special effects and Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly should be nominated for academy awards. It’s great being Catholic and being able to appreciate good works of art. This movie in no way was supposed to be 100% based on scripture. It’s great. I’m going to go see it again tomorrow.
I would honestly prefer “The Ten Commandments” with Charlton Heston over plenty of other “Bible films” nowadays.
