The old Alpha Beta warehouse?
The old Alpha Beta warehouse is still there, now CVS warehouse, along the west side of Harbor Blvd. The Beckman-Coulter buildings along the east side of Harbor Blvd. are now around 90% demolished. Empty lot.
Seems to me that SCEDC changed the coordinates of the 5.1 main shock from when it was first presented in the line entry of the “recent earthquakes’ list.
According to the initial coordinates, I had been pinpointing NW of Harbor and Lambert. But with the revised(?) coordinates , it now matches up with a red earthquake spot in Google earth about a mile further east, near Lambert and Palm Street (near In-N-Out Burgers, yum!).

That In-N-Out is close to the school my wife teaches at...will be interesting to see what kind of damage is there.
Still sharp aftershocks...feels like the sonic booms when the Space Shuttle flew into Edwards, only every 15 minutes or so.

Big deal. Obama will probably tour the area and dump billions to rebuild while he did zero for the Washington landslide victims, as many 90 folks still haven’t been recovered. Has anyone noticed that when there is an earthquake overseas the US sends emergency crews to aid in recovering victims? Has any outside assistance been given to the landslide victims?

I grew up in Whittier/Santa Fe Springs, Now in Memphis, TN for a lot of years. My mother was so upset when we moved to tornado country from So.Ca.
I have a terminal lung disease, IPF. Sorry about the earth wake, but all the chatter gave me a wonderful trip down memory lane. Married in SFS. My children born at Whitter Presbyterian, etc. Sorry for the side trip.
