Why We Won't Yield To Unconstitutional Gun Law
The Hartford Courant ^ | March 28, 2014 | John Cinque

Posted on 03/30/2014 2:44:11 AM PDT by Daffynition

A year ago this coming Friday, the Connecticut General Assembly passed and Gov. Dannel P. Malloy signed into law "An Act Concerning Gun Violence Prevention and Child Safety." This bill, which requires owners of semiautomatic rifles defined as assault weapons to register them and includes other restrictions on guns and standard-capacity magazines, was placed into law using emergency certification, which means it had no public comment or input.

If hearings on the bill had been held, the legislature would have heard from the thousands of law-abiding gun owners who see this law as unconstitutional and continue to support its repeal.

The law neither prevents violence nor protects children. It has, however, far reaching effects. It converts law-abiding citizens into potential felons by the tens of thousands, by making criminals of those of us who choose not to comply with the registration requirements. This despite our having legally and safely owned guns and ammunition for years. It has been reported conservatively that there are more than 50,000 unregistered assault weapons in Connecticut. Their owners can be charged with a Class D felony.

Let's recap.

The author of this commentary, John Cinque [a firefighter from Branford, CT] became a folkhero of sorts to gun-rights activists in Connecticut by declaring at a town hall meeting with state reps: *I WILL NOT COMPLY*

This FP commentary in today's Courant will unleash a barrage of dissent from the antis....who are now having coronaries with their Starbucks. Meh.

Emperor/AKA gov Malloy just announced his is running for re-election.

It behooves every CT voter who values the Constitution and Liberty to unseat him and his lackies, by voting these tyrants out.

VOTE THEM OUT!

A Sipsey Street Public Service Announcement: The Connecticut Tyrants List, voluntarily subscribed by the participants on 3 April 2013.

The state of Connecticut is making lists of firearm owners to raid. It seems obvious to me that it is thus only fair to list those anti-constitutional tyrants who will have blood on their hands the moment the first Connecticut citizen is shot by the CT state police while carrying out their orders. I will be sending these folks my own email later today.

In CT you MUST go to only one building in the entire state to spend $116 with four separate checks to APPLY to get a certificate to buy a long gun. The poor are overwhelmingly the “wrong color in CT” and the politicians knew that they don’t have transportation to get to Middletown, CT nor the spare $116.

Now you know why the CT gun law was passed. You can still be in possession of ammo or a long gun without the “certificate”. That's how they quantify that the CT law is not infringing on keep and bear. It is there to stop acquisition before you can keep and bear, especially if you are poor of the wrong color.

“When agents entrusted with the care and administration of the Constitution overstep their vested authority and abrogate the protected rights of the citizenry, they undermine the foundation for law that act is criminal.”
_______________________________________________________

The criminals are in the State House. Just like all good liberals, they have turned the situation upside down. The criminals are trying to make criminals of the citizenry and the citizens have drawn a line in the sand on this one. The picture is one of citizens living in an insane asylum and the nutjobs in the State House believe the citizenry are their slaves.

It's actually any one of five buildings that you can go to: DPS headquarters in Middletown, DPS Troop C in Tolland, Troop E in Montville, Troop G in Bridgeport, or Troop L in Litchfield.

It still sucks and is still unconstitutional.

Our republican form of government has slowly transformed into an unaccountable administrative state.

We the people have only two ways to deal with each other: reason or force.

Take stroll through the Bill of Rights. Nary a recognized right remains.

There is little time to peacefully restore republican freedom. Let's go the Article V route first.

That’s an awful lot of criminals posing as legislators for such a small state. I guess they have to house the mentally incompetent somewhere. Now if they can take sharp objects like pens and pencis, people in CT might feel safer from tyranny.

I would only protest at their workplaces IMO. Its a slippery slope if you invade their privacy at their homes because the knee-jerk reaction by politicians will be to pass legislation that keeps their home addresses out of official record and instead turn them into even “more” of a protected class. I have two legislation passed twice to protect them in instances where they were scrutinized by the public where it was considered an overreach. Its important to maintain our own integrity in the process.

Can't be said often enough - the true felons are those that would make citizens into criminals in order to further anti-Freedom agendas.
