It was. Reagan’s ‘shining city on a hill’ has been perverted into a firebase by successor neocons and transnationalists.

The situation in Libya is not as bad as it looks. Remember what the president said: “After four decades of darkness, they (the Libyan people) can walk the streets, free from a tyrant.” Fouad Ajami, a senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institute wrote in the Wall Street Journal, “Who, today, does not thrill to the spectacle of freedom in Tripoli.” This is the result of the “Arab Spring” doctrine. These are John McCains “heroes.”

Yes, if only we had a successor to Ronald Reagan that continued his vision, policy, and manner for two additional terms, there would be more stability in Europe, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East both economically and politically.

Reagan wasn't perfect, but he was far better, stronger more reliable and trustworthy than any US President since his administration.
