Hundreds of protesters marched past riot police in Albuquerque on Sunday, days after a YouTube video emerged threatening retaliation for a recent deadly police shooting.
The video, which bore the logo of the computer hacking collective Anonymous, warned of a cyberattack on city websites and called for the protest march.
Albuquerque police said their site had been breached early Sunday afternoon and remained down hours later.
Investigators had not uncovered the source of the hack, police spokesman Simon Drobik said.
"We can confirm that the website disruption is due to a cyberattack," he said. The site was not "connected to any critical services" and IT personnel are working on the problem, Drobik said.
The demonstrators, meanwhile, arrived at Civic Plaza holding signs protesting recent police shootings, and activists called on various city officials to resign.

I wondered when civil disobedience would begin. This is a couple years earlier than I expected.
I hope none of them rolled any stop signs.
we live in Eastern Washington, mostly a solid conservative area, and we have cops that are always shooting and killing people.....and its basically they shrug their shoulders and say they made a “judgement” call....
Chief Eden called the shooting justified at the news conference, saying officers used non-lethal force first and that there was a direct threat made at an unarmed K9 officer. According to Chief Eden, Boyd was less than eight feet from the unarmed canine officer.
Actually if you watch the video tape, all the less than lethal devices were in fact deployed. It was when the canine officer was down directing the canine dog that the suspect pulled out the two knives and directed a threat to the canine officer who had no weapons drawn. He was handling the dog, Chief Eden said.
News 13 asked Chief Eden directly, do you believe this was a justified shooting?
Chief Eden responded, Yes, if you follow case law, Garner versus Tennessee, there was directed threat to an officer.
Well, they did murder a guy.
He was surrendering, and only pulled a knife after a gratuitous flashbang grenade exploded at his feet. At that point only stupid people would fail to recognize that surrendering wasn’t good enough for the gear queers. The cops then proceeded to shoot the man with beanbags and release a dog... Oh, after they shot him with hi-powered rifles from point-blank range.
There have also been several cases in my home state where police dogs have been loosed only to attack the wrong person, causing severe injuries.
I saw part that video, or at least part of it, whatever they showed on Fox. It appeared that the cops launched a flash-bang at the victim immediately before killing him as he turned away.
So are there “ armed K9 “ officers?
Or do they mean teeth and claws?
That was murder caught on tape. Wonder if, even with that, the police will suffer any consequences?
I was wondering about that too. I guess he was talking about the LEO that was controlling the dog. But K9 officers are obviously armed, and he just didn’t happen to have his gun drawn at the time.
Good!
Protesting like this should happen more often.
