Vice President Joe Biden is warning Democratic donors that their money is needed to avoid ending up with a Senate full of Ted Cruz-like tea party Republicans.

"We could lose," reads the headline on Biden's fundraising email sent out Sunday, just ahead of Monday's first-quarter deadline.

Urgent: Do You Approve Or Disapprove of President Obama's Job Performance? Vote Now in Urgent Poll

"If we wake up on Tuesday and find out we came up short, we're in bad shape for November – that is not hyperbole," Biden writes. "Losing will mean more senators like Ted Cruz, and more Tea Party Republicans in the House."

The end-is-near rhetoric is nothing new to fundraising letters, and The Washington Examiner's Paul Bedard writes that Democrats actually aren't having much trouble bringing in cash. They are, however, having trouble wooing voters to their candidates, he said.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

First true remark i have heard Biden say!

because

Ted Cruz has the charisma to sway the lo-info voter.

(as well as the brains to get the conservative voter to participate.)

Joe!

Chin up little buckaroo!

Y'all can't lose, remember?

Them mean `ol TEA Party bad guys are on the way out.

Right?

I have been hearing that for years now!

... "time for the tea party to leave," along with: TEA Party is losing ground, fatal blow, "tea party movement dead," fading fast, doesn't matter, influencing immigration reform weaker than ever,’ no longer relevant, etc.

According to this it has been for years now...

Perish the thought, Joe Biteme, that more pro-constitution, pro-American candidates are elected to the senate.

The mantra “the Tea Party’s dead” is a ploy of the left. That is, repeat a lie - the bigger the better - often enough and it’s eventually taken to be the truth. It ain’t working.

"First they ignore you, then they mock you, then they fight you, then you win." - Mahatma Gandhi

The Democrats mocked Governor Palin.

The Democrats fight Senator Cruz.

We are making progress.

“We could lose to John McCain”
“We could lose to Mitt Romney”
“We could lose to the Tea Party”
“We could lose to Sarah Palin”
“We could lose to Ted Cruz”

The “We could lose to...” line is a primarily a Democratic fundraising line to scare the bejeezus out of their loyal donors—nothing more nothing less.

What struck me instantly is the tone and delivery of this news sounds exactly like the constant stream of e-mails from the so-called Republican pleas for money as well.

It is all the establishment, period. Just change the names and resend to the dopes who feel their contributions will sway somebody in government to abide by their promises.

I just hope we don’t have a repeat of 2012. We were supposed to gain senate seats that year too, but ended up having Senator Candidates screwing up. Six months is a long time. I wish the election was next week.

Well no matter the reason, we did not pick up the Senate which we were supposed to. Come to think of it, I think we should have picked up the Senate the last two cycles.
