A US Navy official warned Sunday that finding the missing Malaysian jet may be impossible, as efforts to locate the plane intensified ahead of the expected failure of its black-box homing beacons.
It all depends on how effective we are at reducing that search area, Capt. Mark Matthews told reporters at Australias Stirling Naval Base near Perth.
Right now, the search area is basically the size of the Indian Ocean, which would take an untenable amount of time to search.
I do think they know something - and brought all of their ambassadors home for a reason other than a pay dispute.
Told the pope he cannot visit next month after all.
See ... “Malaysia says theres sealed evidence on MH370 that cannot be made public” ... in the list ... :-) ...
Thank you for the many links.
It started from last Monday and runs through now. I think these are all the Freeper postings since then. I guess this story will finally die off in a short while.
What are our reconnaissance satellites doing up there? You would think they were up to the task of spotting Flight 370 and tracking it right to that airfield in Iran where it landed.

Oh sorry. I missed it.
Anything on land is findable but this plane is under water — a lot of it.
If it was in some mullah’s driveway in Pakistan the moment those engines were turned on they would “ping” and Inmarsat would paint them and find them. If they moved Inmarsat would know it. Big Mac’s groupies don’t think about that.
They need to assume a criminal mind not a suicidal one. I’m betting he may have tried a survivable crash closer to Indonesia perhaps just south of West Java.
They are assuming a 460 flight path — but they also need to develop a 400 one and perhaps a 350 one.
They also need to put a reward out on the plane so enterprising Indonesian fishermen will join in the search.
Israel didn’t shut them down ... read this ...
The Foreign Ministry’s workers union has called for a general strike Sunday as part of an ongoing labor dispute. All 103 of Israel’s embassies, consulates, and diplomatic delegations across the world will be closed, including the ministry’s headquarters in Jerusalem.
In addition to increasing pressure on the Finance Ministry, the workers union decided to escalate their struggle and have instructed the ministry’s employees to leave their workplaces and announce a general strike Sunday afternoon.
The workers will shut down the entire Foreign Ministry, as well as Israeli missions and embassies around the world, for the first time since the establishment of the State of Israel in an open-ended strike which could paralyze Israel’s diplomatic services.

Bottom line Their Dead Jim...
I know that is the published version.
Well, all I know is what I read in the papers.

It isn’t over because it isn’t where they are looking and they probably have a good idea where it is.
Good McInerney didn’t apologize.
Do you have the link where just after it disappeared Iran claimed we had kidnapped the plane?
Then a bit later Israeli specialists, three of them, suggested Iran had taken it.
I only started listing the links last Monday ...
Or maybe I read too much Victor Ostrovsky.
Since the “gadgets” were all turned off, it becomes a HUGE OCEAN, itsie-bitsie, teeny-weeny plane search. And the search area is full of man made garbage that looks like pieces of an aircraft from search aircraft and satellite imagery.
This is WORSE than a needle in a haystack search.
