Nuclear tests are easily distinguished from earthquake wave forms. Fear is an inappropriate response. Examine the evidence.

Uh-Oh! The NK’s have managed to harness plate tectonics as a new war weapon! I wonder if Kim Jung Young-Un is behind all the recent earthquakes in CA, OK and elsewhere? Run for the hills!

Earthquakes are a dime a dozen here lately. Now for some Johnny Cash.

detected 132km (80 miles) from the Korean peninsula early on Tuesday morning...

Should check the satellites for ELT pings. Could be that MH370 has finally come down to earth.

You know, just for laughs, if you had the POWER, take North Korea and switch it geographically with the Ukraine.

I love my home in Idaho. Not anxious for a wave of molten basalt or pyroclastic cloud to screw it up. No ash either.

If we had a real president we’d be testing one of our own, right over their stupid heads.

Maximum depth of any well/boring is around 12km; 16km does not seem to be a man-made depth. See http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2003/AdamCassino.shtml

we know north korea cannot have nuclear weapons because bill Clinton and madeline notallright signed an agreement with them, giving food supplies in exchange for their promise not to pursue nuclear weapons.
and he was a great president, i’m told.

This stories title and content is just STUPID!

comparing a 5.0 to a nuclear blast?

First off, a nuclear blast looks NOTHING like an earthquake on a seismograph. Second, they are nowhere near a 5. on the scale. and Third... yeah, North Korea drilled tunnel off the cost to several 10 MILES down!

What a troll.

Dear Telegraph, fire this idiot.

“In a short piece from the North Korean News Agency, the minister of Industry and mining declared that the first nuclear fracking attempt in history was not a success.”

The oil present was vaporized by the heat of the blast
