I agree with you. It was more a rhetorical comment. Yet, she is portrayed by shows like this, awards shows, and MSM as a modern American woman. Young minds can be influenced by such crap; if the parents aren’t involved.
Her and others like her are why there is no TV in our house. Wait a year and buy what we want on DVD; get some popcorn and watch the whole year without commercials. Life can be very good....lol.

We haven’t had televised programming in our home in 10+ years and the family doesn’t miss it at all. We watch films, documentaries, and educational material on DVD or the internet.

It is true that Hollywood has an influence on especially a young audience, but that does not translate into accurately portraying and representing American society as a whole.
