N.Korea 'to Execute 200 Jang Song-taek Loyalists'

N.Korea 'to Execute 200 Jang Song-taek Loyalists'

North Korea is poised to execute 200 high-ranking officials loyal to ousted eminence grise Jang Song-taek, a source said Tuesday. Some 1,000 members of their families could be sent to concentration camps under the North's barbaric system of guilt by association.

The source said the State Security Department has conducted a sweep to ferret out Jang's supporters after his execution in December last year and identified 200 core supporters and another 1,000 followers.

The department has authorization from the North's highest court to hold closed-door trials to deliver death sentences, the source added. This apparently aims to make it look as if proper procedure, to the extent that it exists at all, has been followed.

The families of those who have been sentenced to death are likely to be sent to concentration camps without trial.

The source said, "Among those who have been sentenced to death are 200 officials in the Workers Party, the government and military who received orders directly from Jang Song-taek. The executions will take place at the shooting range at Kang Kon Military Academy under the eyes of high-ranking party, government and military officials."

The public executions are designed to set an example to waverers what will happen to them if they fail to show blind obedience to Kim Jong-un, who marks his third year in power this year.

This is one young adult who is already skilled in methodical purging.

This is the reason removing any of the Kims will be something that could only be done by an act of God; he’s been very well trained and brought up to be very cunning in dealing with people who he somehow manages to figure out as plotting against him.

He must be able to read minds since he apparently hammered out a very good contract with his Lord and Master Lucifer.

We solemnly repeat “never again”, build holocaust memorials, write books about the NKVD and the Gulags. We hunt down 90 year old Nazis who have only hidden since 1945.
We act deeply concerned.

And this afternoon, a death camp is functioning in a backwards country. And we actually pay them money. Its utterly insane.

North Korea is a fascist dictatorship in the trappings of a Confucian family dynasty.

Primacy of obedience to one’s elders is of primary importance. In a such a world, the individual is insignificant.

We can’t kill him; we’re not dealing with someone like Saddam or Ghaddafi, we’re dealing first with a regime that is fully loyal and brainwashed and a population with no connection at all to the outside world. This is a population kept effectively cut off from the rest of the world.

Second, he’s almost satanically cunning. He’s someone who knows precisely who to target in a purge and has managed to outfox very real adversaries to take and maintain power. He’s a product of pure Eastern Asian culture and this is not a culture that is based on being obvious.

Third, removing him would require an insane amount of delicacy. The Chinese are direct neighbors and any military moves near them could cause a horrific outbreak of world war if anything went wrong. The Chinese might not like him, but he is their burden and they know how to contain the demon.

Fourth, North Korea has nukes. Kim Jong-Il perfected it and tested it. There is no way we can even make any maneuvers without that demon in power using those nukes. The Chinese would absorb the fallout. They would be used against the United States and yes, Kim Jong-Un is likely just that ruthless to do it. He’s not crazy either, but a sadist.

There are so many more variables. We would also have to deprogram an entire nation and end up acclimatize them to the modern world, something that would be a HUGE adjustment and a traumatized population would require a huge amount of specialized handling. Humanitarian project for at least a decade.

Are these N. Korean elites only getting what they meted out to others when they were top dog?

How much compassion should I have felt for Stalin’s comrades in arms—when they supported him when he was executing other people?

Is there “justice” in all of this, anyway (even though that’s not necessarily Kim’s motive for his actions)?

QUOTE: “Some 1,000 members of their families could be sent to concentration camps under the North’s barbaric system of guilt by association.”

It’s standard operating procedure in North Korea to punish/imprison three generations of male family members for the transgression of one generation. This acomplishes two things, it prevents revenge or activism that may foster reprisals; and, with the loss of breadwinners it assures the family will fall to a lower class status for generations to come.

This is why students will turn out for whatever they are told too, the fate of generation of thier family pivot on thier actions.

We’ll know the same, as they use the NSA database here to establish our caste system.

The weakness is that it makes it easier to feed into paranoia. Get enough general officers convinced that they (and their families) are about to be purged, and you might incite a coup.

I watched a show a few years ago on North Korea, I think it was National geographic when daddy Kim was still in power, Kim Jung mentally Ill whatever his name was, and it was just unreal. It reminded me of that Twilight zone episode “It’s a good life” where everyone is walking on eggshells so the kid don’t kill them. They showed a typical North Korean apartment, and every picture hanging on their wall was Kim Jung, no family photos, just constant photos of “The Dear Leader”. And the cameras followed this foreign eye doctor around who did cataract operations as an act of charity, he worked fast and did something like 100 people, and when he was finished and they had the bandages off, ALL of them wailed and cried at a picture of Kim Jung and thanked “The Dear Leader” for his “mercy and kindness”, NONE of them thanked the doctor. I was saying to myself, every lib who thinks more power should be given to the government should watch this thing, this stuff is no joke. Living like that is the definition of hell on earth.

Oh wow, I think I saw it Netflix as well. What an eye opener that show was though. I forgot about the one part when he asked the tour guide, or was it his minder, why there were pictures and statues of Kim Jung Ill all over the place and the guy basically freaked out. That part I think was the closest they got to being busted. Just even slightly questioning The Dear Leader can get a person killed. I wonder what would happen though if someone got the guts and blew “The Dear Leaders” brains out. They would probably get immediately killed, but would it throw the whole country into anarchy? Who would take his place? I dont think his son Kim jong Un has any kids. I think I read a while ago someone tried to kill him which may be why he is constantly executing all these people, he’s paranoid.

I can imagine she is desperate because if she don't produce the son, off to the dogs she will go like that other girlfriend/wife he killed off giving some ridiculous excuse that she was doing porno. I think he did have her ripped to death by dogs. What's especially galling about that place is if you escape, they take it out on your family, send them to the camps. So basically the whole country is one giant prison from hell where everyone must make damn sure "Anthony" doesn't get angry. You ever see that Twilight Zone episode "It's a good life"? It's amazing how similar that episode is what's going down in North Korea. Nobody can escape and must make damn sure the punk kid doesn't get angry.

You would think the leader of the free world would shed light on this and do all he could to save these dissidents and their families. Natan Sharansky, Soviet Dissident, wrote a great book that GWB really took to heart and used after 911. He and Reagan were on the same page when it comes to defending freedom. Obama doesn’t even know who Sharansky is let alone stand up for dissidents who risk everything to oppose the Dictator. Obama is so pathetic the world laughs at everything he says. He longs to be the Dictator of America and sends the IRS after Dissidents. Dinesh DeSouza will tell you.

Yes, every knee must bow in this religion...I was just reading this morning about North Korea’s religion (they prefer the term “ideology”)—Juche—which means “self-reliance.”

Every week 100 percent of the North Korean population has to gather together, village by village, in special buildings for worshipful services called self-criticism meetings. Juche even has a trinity—Kim Il Sung, his wife, and his son Kim Jong Il—and veneration for the latter has not waned in the wake of his death and the ascension to power of his son Kim Jong Un.

In the weekly self-criticism meetings, North Koreans sing from a hymnal containing 600 songs of praise glofifying Kim II Sun and Kim John Il.

North Koreans pray by looking up reverently at the pictures of the Kim dynasty leaders that have to be hung on the best wall of every home. The original Kim, Kim Il Sung, died in 1994, but North Koreans continue to call him the country’s president and regard him as immortal, the god of North Korea.

Behind all that of course, is the god of this world whom you names. His time is short.

You are right.

Read what FDR and the top leaders of the United States and Britain knew or strongly suspected about the Nazi death camps by 1944 and even by 1943. It is not good.

I get the point that winning World War II was the most important priority and was the best way to save Jewish lives worldwide. But by the time deportations began of Hungarian Jews late in World War II, we might have been able to do something to affect the outcome.

History will not look kindly on the West for mouthing platitudes about human rights while ignoring crystal clear evidence of what is happening in North Korea. The general public of the West has more access to information today about North Korea than all but the most senior leaders of the Allies had about Nazi death camps during World War II.

I am very much aware that North Korea is not an easy problem to fix. If it were easy it would have been done long ago. However, there are more things which could be done than are being done.

CorporateStepsister, you said “He’s almost satanically cunning.”

Not sure I see the need for the word “almost” in that sentence.

But I fully agree with you about East Asian culture not being a culture that is based on being obvious.

I don't think most Westerners have any comprehension of what we're dealing with in North Korea. It is not just the Kim family; it is a whole culture which reflects the outlook not only of North Korea but also of most of Asia until very recent times.

The “Hermit Kingdom” culture of pre-Christian Korea, however, was even worse than what prevailed in China or most of the rest of Asia. Reading stories from the 1700s and 1800s about persecution of early Christian converts in Korea looks like reading something out of Imperial Rome or modern North Korea. Except for Japan under the shoguns, it is hard to find anyplace in Asia which was more hostile toward foreign influences than pre-1800s Korea.

The similarities of deification of the ruler are more than accidental. They reflect a fundamentally non-Christian system of ethics developed by a culture which is thousands of years old and in which Satan has had unchallenged rulership until the last few centuries.

We can't expect Satan to give up easily.

The executions, brutal in nature, will be videotaped and then replayed in Public Security Bureau offices around the country to scare the deeply, mentally scarred and emotionally imprisoned population to stay in line. Like Stalin and Hitler had executions by piano wire filmed and likewise distributed to his elite corps with the implicit message that “this awaits you for any sign of disloyalty.” The good thing is that if the regime IS ever toppled, and the tapes are not destroyed, they will be excellent paper trails for this dude being brought up for genocide or mass murder crimes before a tribunal. We can dream can’t we?
