I can imagine she is desperate because if she don't produce the son, off to the dogs she will go like that other girlfriend/wife he killed off giving some ridiculous excuse that she was doing porno. I think he did have her ripped to death by dogs. What's especially galling about that place is if you escape, they take it out on your family, send them to the camps. So basically the whole country is one giant prison from hell where everyone must make damn sure "Anthony" doesn't get angry. You ever see that Twilight Zone episode "It's a good life"? It's amazing how similar that episode is what's going down in North Korea. Nobody can escape and must make damn sure the punk kid doesn't get angry.
