All of those lines are representations of averages from the 2000’s, significantly better than anything we have seen under Obama. Thus, all lines are unlikely to occur.

Until obamacare and the federal regs are addressed, those are all pipe dreams.

No, the dotted lines represent projections using the best average annual monthly job creation numbers for the 1990s and 2000s, i.e., 1994 and 2005. We would need to replicate those numbers to get back to where we were in 2008. 193,000 jobs a month is below the 208,000 jobs a month in 2005, which will stretch the projection out further beyond 2018.

"February 2014 saw respectable job growth numbers, with 175,000 new jobs created during the month. That is slightly below the monthly average of 189,000 new jobs over the last 12 months."

We do have a long way to go, which is what the data on the chart show. 189,000 jobs a month is pitiful.
