Of course, you don’t mention he won his Senate seat two times, not bad for a place like Pennsylvania and lost mainly in a year, Republicans were just plainly beaten bad.

He’s prolife, gets the best rating of any mainstream politician around. Hardly seems phony but name-calling and falsehoods seem to be your style.
Thanks for the personal attack, speaking of “style”, I merely posted facts on Santorum.
Santorum lost by a BIGGER margin than Christine O’Donnell, and he was the incumbent! It was history making that election cycle, and not at all typical as you tried to claim, no one resembled Santorum’s 18 point wipeout.
The Catholic Santorum admits to switching to pro-life to run for office in 1990, but in 1996 he endorsed and campaigned for, Arlen Specter’s presidential run, to change the GOP to a pro-abortion platform.
Santorum was devoted to Specter (under the radar and behind the scenes), and supported him against Toomey in both 2004, and 2010.
Specter, with Santorum on stage, endorsing and clapping:
I want to take abortion out of politics. I want to keep the Republican Party focused on the vital economic and foreign policy issues and leave moral issues such as abortion to the conscience of the individual. I believe abortion is an issue to be decided by women.”
I pledge to lead the fight to strip the strident anti-choice language from the Republican National platform.
