The thing is, just about everyone I know has at least one friend or family member who has been harmed by Obamacare. Propaganda is useless in the face of that.

And I have yet to hear someone say

“The policy I received through the exchange is cheaper, has lower deductibles, offers more doctor and hospital choice than my old crappy policy.”

NOT ONE!

I gotta go with piytar here.

Normally the issues that people hear about and vote on are these nebulous things far off in the distance in someone elses back yard.

Not so this issue. All they gotta do is look at their bank books. They have have to remember if their doctor is the one they've been seeing for 25 years, or some new old slug or young squirt that they never heard of before.

This issue is something EVERYONE can understand.

I read one guys discussion of facebook's healthcare.gov site:

Gonna axe the vacations.

Gonna axe his and the wife's once a year weekend absolute splurge for their anniversary.

Kids braces are gonna have to be put off.

No. This is an issue with some BITE! If the Party of Stupid has the balls to use it as it should be used!

Which I figure is a 50/50 chance.

As much as I never underestimate the stupidity of the low information crowd, I believe you are spot on. It is one thing to lie about a distant event, such as the Iraq War. Not everyone could reach out and touch that. The masses accepted the reality through the media filter.

It is quite another matter when you can reach out and touch the story every damn day.
