2016 Elections: Is Palin the GOP’s Answer to Hillary Clinton?
The Wall Street Cheat Sheet ^ | April 2, 2014 | Anthea Mitchell

Will Sarah Palin run against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election? No, it’s safe to say that she likely won’t. Though, as she said herself when asked, “never say never.” She followed the statement up by adding, “I don’t have a team of people, you know, getting out there doing these poll-tested whatever they do to let you know if you should run or not. I don’t have any of that kind of organization going,” according to The Examiner. While her candidacy would certainly be welcomed by some within the GOP, especially further to the right – including the Tea Party — that doesn’t supersede the odds.

That hasn’t stopped back and forth discussion on whether or not she should run, on whether or not the idea has merit. When it comes down to it, Palin’s resurgence has to do with a number of things. She’s being suggested as a solution to the GOP’s failure to compete with Democratic candidates, and failure to reach potential voters by alienating possible swing votes with overemphasis on certain issues, and underemphasis on others. She’s female and has played a prominent role in past presidential elections, running as Vice President to John McCain, so when Republicans scramble for a woman’s voice in their party that could compete with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, her name is near the surface.

Of course, that doesn’t make her the only woman in the Republican party being considered for a roll in 2016. Kelly Ayotte’s name has been batted around quite a bit for the Vice Presidency, though on who’s ticket is still uncertain. “Ayotte could turn the ‘war on women’ narrative into a punch line,” said Steve Schmidt, manager of John McCain’s 2008 bid....

Sarah Palin, I believe, is the answer to what ails this country, she is staunchly anti DC government cronyism/corruption. She can't/won't be bought and would reintroduce respect and integrity to the WH.

Is Palin the GOP’s Answer to Hillary Clinton?

If they want to lose the election. That is beside the point though. She is not interested in running.

They’ve been “trashing and making fun of her” since August 29, 2008. She’s bigger now than she was then. If Milt, Hillary or Barry were ever to come under 10% of the fire she has endured they’d be cowering in a corner.

If she runs and gets the nomination her campaign fund will be $2500 richer on my part. Here’s what she should do: On election eve (2014) she should announce that if the Republicans win big(53 to 54 senate seats) she will then run. Any nose-to-nose winner will owe their victory to her to her.

I want a conservative—especially a social conservative. Palin is on my short list, as are Ted Cruz, Mike Pence, and Rick Santorum. Don’t expect me to vote for an (ahem) moderate. Ain’t gonna happen. And don’t expect me to campaign for a squishy conservative. Give me someone that I can not only vote for but enthusiastically campaign for.

Maybe that's, the most important question.
"Is why should we pander to "that" group or "this" one.
Think about it, Isn't that's what got us here in the first place?
The American Electorate doesn't know, what we stand for
..or against..
we've been led to dilute our principals by the
Wash. Estab. pols. to reach new voters, there's been too
much confusion/mis-information about what we stand for...

LOL
You must have missed the [/sarc], and the rather snarky comment tangentially/obliquely referencing (a) his age, and (b) the people here who seem to think that any Republican president would be good.

But in any case, no… not serious at all.

as Sarah Palin as a Presidential Candidate, l'd vote for her
instantly..same with Cruz..both on same (dream) ticket.
both are old-fashioned/"swell" Conservatives.

no squishy N.E.B.B. RINOs/, need apply.

Is this the same Steve Schmidt who undercut Sarah Palin every chance he got, during that campaign?

I love it when the Commies make fun of her. The classic is when they laugh at her “I can see Russia”. Very few know that Russia and Alaska are separated by less then 3 miles.

Palin would lose and lose big time....you see what the media can do in making Obambi out to be something he is not and the zombies still love him. The corrupt media now shapes and owns the image portrayed and the ignorant public laps it up. It is no mystery the media has a slobbering love affair for Hitlary and a larger than life disdain for Palin. You think it was bad for her as veep running mate? It would be relentless running for president. I love her but with this media she doesnt stand a chance

Palin’s first line at her inauguration: I guess the “war on women” is over.
