Interesting. When I saw the pictures my impression of the picture on the left = jock and the one on the right = science student.

I noticed that with the photos of the crowds at Obama rallies. Thanks chessplayer.

“By contrast, the perception of lower intelligence is associated with broader, more rounded faces with eyes closer to each other, a shorter nose, declining corners of the mouth, and a rounded and massive chin.”
Examples:
CNN’s Roland Martin. I call him the round headed guy.
MSNBC’S Chris Matthews
MSNBC’S Ed Schultz.
Look at their photos online.

Male scientists tend to have low testosterone, jocks high.
But for women, higher testosterone is found in greater intelligence and in jocks.
Fits perfectly with both your observation and the study’s findings—including that the clues that work for men don’t work for women.

Imagine at Christmas dinner with all the relatives and a few friends and your son is sitting there looking like that with Monster on his forehead.
Making it even worse, you ask him what he would like to drink with dinner and he says a glass of milk.

The guy in the lower left corner fits perfectly:
“Faces that are perceived as highly intelligent are rather prolonged with a broader distance between the eyes, a larger nose, a slight upturn to the corners of the mouth, and a sharper, pointing, less rounded chin.”

I suppose that a career goal to be, say, the CEO of Boeing, is at this point somewhat unrealistic for this guy.
