WASHINGTON (AP) African-Americans and Latinos are losing economic ground when compared with whites in the areas of employment and income as the United States pulls itself out of the Great Recession, the latest State of Black America report from the National Urban League says.
The annual report, called "One Nation Underemployed: Jobs Rebuild America," noted that the underemployment rate for African-American workers was 20.5 percent, compared with 18.4 percent for Hispanic workers and 11.8 percent for white workers. Underemployment is defined as those who are jobless or working part-time jobs but desiring full-time work.

We need the Holder to start enforcing job quotas for his people.
Why should they be any different than White Middle Class families who have done worse under this failure of a president than they did under Jimmah Carter, the previous winner of The Biggest Loser President?
When moms can’t pay $5/pound for hamburger because our dollar has lost 40% of its value in the past decade, all of us are suffering .with the exception of the filthy cronies of Obama who have raided the US treasury by his phony stimulus scams.
I’m almost tempted to shout “GOOD” over hearing this.
If these minority “groups” didn’t vote for Ø, they are part of the culture which did.
Obama like the poor so much that he created 5 million more of them.
Yes, but their votes are becoming more valuable and more numerous.
United We Stand, Divided We Fall
Obama understands this.
That is why he works so hard to divide us in every possible way.
Losing Economic ground and mostly losing FREEDOM.
In bad economic times, they are more willing to risk possible EEOC scrutiny, than go into the red.
You blaming Obama?
You know everything bad that happens to minorities and every bad decision they make is the fault of whitey.
Oh.... I see... you must be talking about Zero’s white side. OK.
Damnedyou white side of Obama!
If you think it is bad now for blacks and hispanic’s just wait till they hand out about 20m new green cards and further encourage more illegal immigration.
Since they voted for it..I guess they deserve it, but I didn’t and I don’t want the tax bill to cover it. When will they wake up and discover that the Rats have us on the road to poverty.
Its because the Republicans won’t extend the minimum wage!!!!! Its because the Republicans have cut the budget to the bone!!!!!!!! Its because Republicans have eliminated the social safety net!!!!!!!!
Did I miss anything? Oh yeah . . . Its the Bush Recession!!!!! BUSH!!!!! BUSH!!!!
A euphemism for The Great Obama Failure.
First of all, this recession ain't that great. Second, outside of Obama, the recession that started in 2008 should have ended in 2010 by every known historical fact. It has been the failure of Obama, along with Democrats and their media sycophants, who have increased the misery for almost every American.
"The Great Recession" is the undeniable proof that Obama is a complete disaster.
Mister Obama, tell me: How does it feel to be the last black American president?
This government is controlling the economy, which means declining standards, income and jobs of minorities and everyone, is the fault of the guy running the government.
NOt to worry, adding 46 millions new workers under amnesty will solve the unemployment problem.
No sympathy here, they voted for all of it.
Love how they are still using the term “Great Recession.” Just an excuse for the failure of Obamanomics.
I am so sick of this propaganda. EVERY year this crap is trotted out in order to justify higher taxes, preferential treatment, and other leftist goals. I am also sick of comparisons to whites only. Why not compare Asians to blacks and hispanics. I see it as a subtle way of demonizing whites.
