New York Times: Health Enrollment Numbers Lift Democratic Hopes
New York Slimes ^ | 04/03/2014 | By JONATHAN WEISMAN

WASHINGTON — After months of pummeling by Republicans and with a grim election season approaching, Democrats on Tuesday had a rare bright day. President Obama’s announcement that the new health care plan had enrolled 7.1 million Americans coincided with the release by Representative Paul D. Ryan of a new Republican budget that proposes changes in Medicare and deep cuts in spending.

It’s far too early to say a political turnaround is at hand, but for the first time this election year, Democrats are evincing some confidence that they have at least stanched the bleeding.

“It’s changing. If you’ve been around awhile, and I’ve been around awhile, you can sense it,” said Senator Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, the No. 2 Democrat in the Senate. “You’re not going to turn away seven or 10 million people from insurance coverage — doesn’t work anymore. And then comes Ryan. Thank you, thank you Congressman Paul Ryan, for reminding us what Republicans would do if they had control.”

They’re pushing for what they usually do - get enough people on the new entitlement that any attempt to repeal the entitlement can be used to show how “heartless” their opponents are.

What about the 7 to 10 million people that

LOST THEIR INSURANCE

because of Obamacare?

They don’t consider that “heartless”, now, do they?

This will not lift the despair encountered by the people who are being tortured by the Obamacare monstrosity. Let’s hope that they remember who voted for their torture when it comes time to vote in the mid-term elections.

This would be like if the Twins giving away 80% of their baseball tickets WITH vouchers for free beer, filling up HALF the stadium , and then bragging they’ve sold out AND set a new attendance record.

To refine your analogy, the attendees were escorted to the stadium at gunpoint.

Sheeperals refuse to acknowledge the FORCE aspect of everything they do, and they must be made to acknowledge it in every conversation.

Doesn’t matter how many people sign up in a program they are forced to at the point of a gun,the point is this is the United States of America, the Government should have nothing to do with my relationship with my doctor,as Obama says PERIOD

I’m all in favor of lifting Democrat hopes, because the schadenfreude will be even sweeter when they’re dashed on the rocks come November.

BTW, I’m trying to remember the last time when New York Times headlined a similar “news” story about lifting Republican hopes. Still trying...

If I were in Congress, I would call for an independent audit to confirm the numbers.

We’re having a serious family dispute that boils down to a liberal relative and his acceptance of the system and it’s experts versus me and my proclivity to think outside the conventional boxes.

When it’s a matter of life and death it amazes me that the liberal mind set is to accept “the studied opinions of experts” even in the face of evidence that there are alternate paths that might be useful.

To me this extrapolates to people on a very large scale - most would rather accept what their betters lay down for them and not expend the energy to think and take responsibility for themselves.

There has been slavery ever since the dawn of mankind.
(Ancient Egypt, Akkadian Empire, too many to list)
But somehow the only slavery that matters is the one that happened with the Americas. Every time the word ‘slavery’ comes up, people somehow automatically associate it with black people living in the US.

This bunch makes the old Soviet government and their state controlled Pravda outfit look pikers they way they lie out right and the so-called “journalist” lap this crap up like hungry dogs and regurgitate it and lap it up again.

We are having much the same experience.

Family members who reject a message of truth and logic from fellow family members and wholly accept the lies being dished out from "experts" they don't even know.

This is a HARD trial.
