Nah, crony capitalism is a valid term, and it was coined by the Tea Party who despise the corrupt crony partnership between big government and big business.
It resulted in trillions of public debt passed onto taxpayers that should have instead resulted in direct CEO, corporate, and shareholder bankruptcies. The Grand Scam is another name for it where the few corporatists benefit and the many are billed courtesy of hacks in the fed and chamber of commerce.

If you have the connections and cronies in politics, the corrupt hacks that we are forced to choose from will build it for you free of charge, except to us taxpayers. Stadiums built all over the USA by both Parties so bozos in sports and oligarch owners can get richer all on our dime, not their risk.
That’s “CRONY CAPITALISM”. That is what is destroying the once great USA and the GOP, whether you like the term or not.
