Had a spider web jam the crossfeed tank control on a Cessna 172 I flew once. Couldn’t figure out why valve would not move. Mechanic found this huge spiderweb inside the control valve. It happened twice.

My flight instructor years ago always made cycling the cross valve part of the pre-flight on the 172. Now I know why.
