Washington, D.C. Nevada Senator Harry Reid made the following statement on the March employment report. According to the Labor Department, the economy added 192,000 jobs in March, while the unemployment rate remains unchanged at 6.7 percent. The department also revised up the figures for February, from 165,000 to 197,000, and private employment levels surpassed for the first time the pre-recession peak.
This continued job growth is encouraging, but we need to do more to ensure that everyone in Nevada and across the country has a fair shot at the American Dream. Democrats have proposed common-sense policies to ensure that women receive equal pay for equal work and to ensure a fair minimum wage that would give more than 28 million Americans a raise. We will vote on these policies in the coming weeks and I hope Republicans will join us to pass them.
My Republican colleagues have a choice: will they join Democrats to stand with the middle class, or will they continue to stand with the Koch brothers as they try to rig our political system to benefit billionaires like themselves? I hope that my Republican colleagues will put the Koch brothers radical agenda aside, and join us to pass common-sense policies that put the middle class first.
The Koch boys are living absolutely rent free in Harry the Pervboy Reid’s head. It will kill him.
Geez, the old goat sure has a bad case of Koch Brothers Derangement Syndrome. He’s possessed. He’s losing it!
Well, Harry, old boy, you are allowing them to live inside your head RENT FREE!...................
I think all the projection and panic from him is realizing vote fraud is going to be watched more more closely this Nov.
"There's something going on with Harry Reid's mental state and we need to really be concerned about it. ... He can't remember ... and that's the onset of something more serious, and as you say, there's something mentally going on here, when you can't remember.""
The Tea Party is in his head;)
"Look at that moron there. That guy from Nevada. Uhhhlll. What's his name there. ... Harry Reid is brain dead. He's trying to talk. He isn't well. You know what? It's time. It's time to put the dog bell ... and put a ticket on him and put him onto the dog track and let him walk around in circles. He's got to be wearing Depends the way he talks because he doesn't remember when he went to the bathroom last.""
"Poor Harry Reid. Either he is off his meds and he clearly needs some assistance immediately -- he needs to be rushed to an emergency room -- or the man is just brazenly unable to tell the truth." [Fox News, 3/29/14]"
"I didn't think Mormons used drugs. ... I think the longer you stay in political office, the more detached you become from reality." [Mike Gallagher Radio Show, 3/28/14]"
"It does look like Harry Reid is a very powerful guy who is either -- I read one blog that said he's either having a nervous breakdown or he's simply somebody who lies about lies." [Fox News, 3/28/14]"
So the unemployment rate remained unchanged, eh? It’s so nice that they are still writing fairy tales! I have wondered just how they will deal with the numbers if they pass retroactive benefits to all those that lost them in 12/14. When a million plus people suddenly land splat in the middle of their fantasy still unemployed.
Ol’ Hairy is getting the occupy wall street goons fluffed up and throwing some red meat to them for their upcoming re-launch. It’s not coincidence.
occupy wall street goons=unions, the rank and file won’t show in November.
He doesn’t believe his own nonsense. The Dems are testing out whipping boys to campaign against.
If the “war on women worked,” anything can.
The demagoguery continues apace.
Why don’t the Republicans at least ‘learn’ from these Democrats how to make a point? The message may be wrong but they are very good at messaging.
