I do not believe for one second that Putin is a believer. His embrace of Christian values is purely political.

So was the Emperor Constantine's embrace of Christianity. History can turn on very small pivots.

You're free to believe what you want. I'm going to take him at his word. He is the ONLY world leader today giving any sort of Christian testimont at all. He is the only world leader standing againstthe moral rot that eating the soul of the West...the US included.

Agree. It is the false prophet approach to lure in the vulnerable. He is as evil as the rest of the Soviet dictators have been.

I’m with you. Nevertheless, (Mark) 9:38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. 9:39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. (9:40) “He that is not against us is on our part.” Etc.

Surely, it’s not a bad thing that Putin’s “embracing Christianity” for any old reason. Ben Franklin did the same thing: not remotely religious himself, he gave to all religious charities (other than Catholic) because religion made folks easier to govern (hear that line anywhere else?).
