I am already on a cash for service plan with my dentist with a fixed price for whatever procedure I choose. Very reasonable. I expect my GP to go this way soon

Give me a break, don’t import them.

Don't worry, obama has this one figured out too. More and more affirmative action M.D.s, killing two birds with one stone - addressing the doctor shortage plus more "spreading the wealth around". (reparations).

Dummycrats need to find out real soon, that voters did not just fall off a turnip truck.

The "latest" O/Care disaster is that Democrats just discovered they voted in lockstep to subsidize this atrocity by decimating Medicare Advantage for seniors......forcing O/Care on an ususpecting public, that was not too enthusiastic about O/Care from the get-go.

=============================================================

(EXCERPT WSJ--PEGGY NOONAN) ........you cannot look at ObamaCare and call it anything but a huge, historic mess....utterly unique in the annals of American lawmaking and govt administration....

...then-Democratic speaker Pelosi blithely, mindlessly said---but in a way forthcomingly—that we have to pass it to find out what's in it. .... an historic admission that she was fighting hard for something she herself didn't understand, but she had every confidence regulators and bureaucratic interpreters would tell her in time what she'd done.......

....for the next three years Democrats would carry on like blithering idiots making believe they'd read the bill and understood its implications. They were later taken aback by complaints from their constituents.......

(The White House calculatedly kept the gruesome details to itself while egging on loyal lock-stepping Democrats to vote for it).

The WH lied to Americans in a way so specific, it showed they knew exactly what to spin and how......via the infamous "If you like your health-care plan, you can keep your health-care plan, period."

THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME Obama made a conscious, calculated choice: heavily tax-subsidized health insurance that overwhelmingly benefits African-Americans vs. continuing subsidies for seniors via Medicare Advantage. Obama chose "his people" over old, white people. For him, it was a very easy decision.

Old, white people were never the people O/Care was intended for. Egged on by Nanzi Pelosi, the Democratic-majority passed the Affordable Care Act by an historic straight party-line vote without even reading it. Then Dems got the wake-up call---they had voted $200 billion in cuts to Medicare Advantage.

STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANE Remember when Oprah said America can't rest, until all those elderly white racists die? Followed by Obama honoring her w/ the Presidential Medal?

OBAMA FACTORED THAT BACK IN 2008 AS HE
SALIVATED OVER HEALTHCARE OVERHAUL
:

O/Care embeds IPAB (Independent Payment Advisory Board) AKA Death Panels.......and healthcare rationing.

IPAB is now the “fifth branch” of govt, to be composed of hand-picked unelected members appointed by Obama:

1) It will make all important health care decisions by authorizing payment or not.

2) It is not funded by Congress and cannot have its budget reviewed or changed.

3) Its membership cannot be changed by future Presidents,

4) It cannot be repealed by Congress, except for a six month window in 2017.

5) Its decisions are not subject to judicial review.

6) It is not authorized by the Constitution, and is therefore immune to Constitutional processes.

================================================

Retirees losing health care are forced onto Obamacare, finally getting signed up, looking at how little they get for what they pay out....fear grows.

Oldsters better know this. Obama is herding seniors onto subsidized federal programs---like cattle slowly boarding the ramp single-file, knowing the bolt is coming, and unable to do a thing about it.

For starters: stupid Democrats voted to eliminate the ASSET TEST, (which usually prevents those with assets to even be considered for Medicaid coverage). Every person herded onto Medicaid signed away their entire estate to the govt. Heirs get nothing---everything goes to the state to re-coup the expenses incurred under Medicaid.

The Democrats aided and abetted the Obama criminals who duped people into a ruinous reverse mortgage scheme......Here's how it works.

The Democrats in league w/ Obama conmen forced seniors WITH ASSETS onto Medicaid---a program specifically structured for the poor.

CAN YOU SAY REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH?

Herding sickly elderly with assets into Medicaid has ominous consequences intriguing to sap-happy leftists. B/c assets, perhaps a home owned free and clear, securities, annuities, investment property, can be seized to pay for govt treatment.

Thus intergenerational transfers of wealth (a longtime left/liberal/progressive bugaboo)----are decimated.

CAN YOU SAY REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH?

================================================= Boobamba's got plans.....secret, nefarious plans for grampa/ma duped into signing up for Medicare/Aid.

The WH BOOB can't get 'em to sign up on the flopola healthcare.guv website---so he's throwing some 400,000 onto MEDICAID------and all the costs of medical care will be charged back.

How can he do that? By slapping federal and state LIENS against signers' homes, and other assets.......the Obamacare con artists eliminated the ASSET TEST, (which would have prevented those with assets to even be considered for Medicaid coverage).

So those who are now told: "Golly gee, my government loves me, Obama says I qualify for subsidized Medicaid care, I'll be well- taken care of"---have been suckered into a REVERSE ASSET LIQUIDATION FEDERAL MONEY GRAB.

And, once in the hands of the Obama/Democrat criminal hordes, all that oldster money is untraceable.

Obamacare is sweeping Dummycrats into the dusbin of history. Lock-stepping loyal Dems marched togther to pass O/Care by an historic straignt party line vote. Now with 2014 looming, Dems have been cautioned (threatened?) to dare not utter a discouraging word; to never compromise the DNC loyalty oath....or else.

===================================================

That kind of lock-stepping party loyalty has not been seen since 1940's era Europe.

Kinda reminds me of Peter Sellers trying to subdue
his natural instincts to salute smartly to der leader.

OK, so 7 million have signed up.

Of that 7 million about 1 million have not paid. Of that figure 4 million are the result of cancelled insurance That leaves <2 million previously uninsured that now have their own insurance....... glory be.

Then they actually get the pig in a poke they bought and discover there is nothing there. They pay a premium and then some deductible and poof...... their money is gone. They actually got nothing. But, they had to buy the policy to learn what was in it.

That means the second or third or forth premiums will not be paid. At some point when many folks learn the poke contains no pig, they will cease paying the premiums

Unfortunately the Democrats can always be counted on to find a scapegoat. We will hear:

- The insurance companies on the exchanges are greedy, and this is why commiecare is terrible

- Doctors are greedy, own nice cars and second houses....and this is why they won’t see you

And after a budget battle or two, where ocare becomes an entrenched non-discretionary spending item (no way it will be self supporting), any attempt by Republicans to not balloon spending on this will be met with claims that Republicans want to kill you.

I’ve never bought into the notion that we should let it run its course, and the disaster will be blamed on Democrats. The entire mess needs to be killed.

Of course, you've hit on the endgame.

Docs won't take Obamacare.....so the obvious solution is to *require* them to take it.

Docs flee their profession in droves.....smart people don't *need* to be doctors. They can be engineers, lawyers, etc etc etc ad infinitum.

America's medical profession - truly the "shining beacon on a hill" for so many years - ceases to exist.

I'm hoping that it will stick around via inertia while I'm drawing breath. I worry about my kids' future, tho.

Can’t wait to see all the Donkeys who get their insurance statement for their procedure or doctors visit and finally learn what a “ deductible” is. LMAO.

I want a natural pathetic doctor, more vits/mins than drugs. Drugs have caused more harm to my health than any vit/min I’ve ever taken. Last year I threw out a $200 bottle of Welchol for Cholesterol after just 5 pills nearly put me in a wheel chair. I’d gave them to some one taking it if I knew of any one.

Take a look at some of them. Reclast 1100 Kidney failure deaths, 2400 jaw degeneration, nearly as many A typical Femur fractures. The rest of the OP drugs have the same issue.

FMS is Fibromyalgia the drugs they prescribe all have side effects that mimic it, and people wonder why they feel worse. I refuse to take them and I’ve had FMS 28 yrs.

I have always thought it is interesting and kind of disgusting how these drugs must be tested and declared “safe” by the FDA.

Not long after, all the ads by attorneys show up on TV that encourage the lawsuits against the drug makers because the drugs are “unsafe”.

If that is the case, why were they declared “safe for use”?

I see it all as a big scam for the FDA and Lawyers. But nobody ever asks why all these unsafe drugs get passed for use.

Must have to do with money. No wonder medicine is so expensive.

The first wave of docs left/are leaving due to the absurd electronic information collection requirements of 0SocialistCare.

The next wave to leave will be due to the lack of payment for certain tests/treatments.

The final exodus (of the decent docs) will be when treatment of the Medicaid expansion patient load is mandated.

All drugs have side effects. It's up to the patient to inform themselves, and choose whether or not the side effects are worth the risk, vs the disease that's being treated.

"The Pill Book" is a bible for my family. I (and the rest of my family) don't take anything without reading it, first.

Then, I ask my doc and/or pharmacist. Then, I decide.

"But I do wonder - has anyone else here seen evidence that the number of patients is going down?"

Anecdotal evidence from my own little world of keeping stats for clinics and hospitals is that I find volume has been decreasing since 2010. As to why I can only guess that overall increases in costs of premiums, copays, deductibles plus ever tightening provider network selections are fueling the decline, even before the ACA.

Over thirty some years I also have observed an inverse relationship with the economy and medical volume. Recession equals high medical volume, while even slight improvement in the economy brings lower volume.

Fewer patients??? This is definitely not happening now. A friend in California taking care of someone with health problems reports that there is suddenly a half-day wait for lab work and an hours-long wait at the pharmacy. The patient’s health-care provider is no longer taking new Medicaid patients—totally overwhelmed.

Alinsky & Co. couldn’t see this? That the people who really needed health care already had it? That when you give it away for free, everyone suddenly has an ailment and the system is dragged under?

Of course they did.

We may be seeing the same thing on my side of the state.

Last week I helped a friend of mine enroll in Washington Apple Health. I visited Tri-Cities Community Health Clinic (Richland) to pick up a form. There was only one patient in the waiting room, at what would have seemed a prime time for appointments. I have noticed few cars in the parking lot at other times and little activity around the entrance. One thing I can say for sure is that the flood of new Expanded Medicaid patients seeking appointments hasn't materialized over here. Lots of people in the county have signed up -- but evidently aren't seeking many appointments even when free. Pregnant women would be an exception.
