Democrat Congressman Keith Ellison: Dishonoring the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
CainTV.com ^ | April 6, 2014 | Herman Cain

Class warfare wasn't his thing.

The mainstream media somehow managed to miss the demonstrations held April 4 – the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s assassination – in favor of the so-called “Robin Hood Tax.” I only learned about the planned demonstrations in 22 cities after I was asked to comment on the proposed tax on the Fox Business News show “Varney and Company,” which prompted me to do some research to know what this was about.

Well, I discovered that this was about class warfare.

The demonstrations and the proposed tax were initiated by U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minnesota). He has introduced an actual bill to tax all Wall Street transactions to provide a pool of money to help those, mostly minorities, who have not achieved financial success. The bill is HR 1579, the “Inclusive Prosperity Act of 2013”.

When Stuart Varney asked me what I thought of this tax, I said the bill is simply a class warfare attack on those who represent financial success – and it dishonors the memory of Dr. King, because he did not preach class warfare.

I also stated that Congressman Ellison and his "duck" followers are working on the wrong problem in the wrong way. They should be trying to help improve high school and college graduation rates for blacks and other minorities, so they can one day work on Wall Street and own parts of Wall Street.

Since Representative Ellison is trying to make this about color by dragging the memory of Dr. King into his dishonorable demonstrations, he might have noticed that the high school graduation rate for white students in this country is 83 percent compared with 66 percent for black students. The out-of-wedlock birth rate among blacks is now over 70 percent, which is more than twice the national average for white babies.

Oh! Did he and his followers forget that the black unemployment and underemployment rates far exceed those of whites in this country? Maybe these and other facts have something to do with failed economic policies of the Obama administration. Oh, I know, blame Bush! Even though they were getting better under Bush, whereas they are getting worse under an Obama administration at a faster rate. Do the math!

If he and his followers would look at the facts, then they could do the math and they might conclude that it makes more sense to work on the right problem. But that doesn't fit the Democrat political narrative. For them it's all about ignoring the facts, and focusing on the race card and class warfare.

For those who do not know me, I am a proud American Black Conservative, and I am personally sick of this kind of crap! It tries to take advantage of the most vulnerable and gullible in our society by pandering to their ignorance of how to really succeed in America, and feeding some people's victim mentalities.

Dr. King preached equal rights, equal opportunity, equal treatment under the law and access to a good education. He was an early admission student to Morehouse College because of his quest for knowledge and wisdom, and eventually earned his Doctorate Degree to become Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

He changed the nation and the world, and he did not get there by trying to take from those who had succeeded. He fought for a level playing field for all of God's children. As many of us have moved forward in this fight, some people are holding others back with ill-conceived demonstrations.

Dr. King did not fight or die for a new tax. Please! His memory deserves more respect than that. Some of us understand that.

This dumb**** needs to read up on his legends. Robin Hood stole from “da gubmint tax collectors” and gave the money back to its original owners. THE PEOPLE! Don’t confuse “the people” with the DemocRAT Party’s merry freeloaders. The freeloaders get theirs from the money stolen from THE PEOPLE by “da gubmit”.

Keith Ellison is the consummate anti-American, coached in the lexicon of the Left and embracing the false religion of no-peace and no-salvation.

Totally lacking in any kind of critical thinking, Mr. Ellison has been bandied and bullied into his questionable catalogue of beliefs, and has never questioned who he is nor how he got where he is today.

Miserable waste of human protoplasm.

Ellison is a Muslim no brain, so he should be elected to the house of Saudis, not to Congress.

I do wish Black conservatives would tell the Black masses the truth about MLK. Why does everyone think Blacks are so delicate they couldn't stand to remain alive in a world where there almost supernatural "savior" was an atheist who used religion only as a symbol?

White Americans have had every single one of their heroes deconstructed. Sauce for the goose and all that.

A poor Chinese immigrant can come to the USA without two pennies to rub together yet make a successful business. Black communities have trillions of dollars dumped on them and we get Detroit. How and why do people keep falling for these charlatans?

Yes, but it would have been reckless of Cain to comment on a legislative proposal without having seen at least an epitome of the bill -- you can call a bill a "ham sandwich", it's like an indictment that way. There are no nomenclatural rules and no penalties for lying like a dog in the title.

[Article] Dr. King preached equal rights, equal opportunity, equal treatment under the law and access to a good education.

We can talk about King's legacy, but one thing it wasn't was Communism, and another thing it wasn't was Islamism.

Communists have been trying to capture King since his name first hit the headlines, like Paul Robeson. Being unsuccessful while he was alive, various Leftists are now trying to claim King posthumously, by e.g. putting up that larger-than-life Communist (Socialist Realism) statue of him on the Washington Mall.

The GOP needs to get together, take down the statue, and have it recut in the French Realist monumental style which is DC's "official" style for memorials -- or Art Nouveau would be acceptable, which iirc was the style Augustus St. Gaudens employed when he executed his monument to the 54th Massachusetts Regiment (U.S. Colored Troops).

No Communist political lie-trophies on the Washington Mall!!!

= = = = = = = = = = = =

Didn't Robin Hood and his Merry Men rob from the Kings Tax Collecters, TAKE THEIR CUT, then redistribute the remainder amongst the people???

So in essence, R Hood charged a tax to return the 'money' to the people it was taken from.

Or, as todays pols would say, 'A handling fee', thereby explaining to the townspeople they were better off than before.

Democrats sure love to use this "memory of Dr. MLK Jr." line constantly to promote their leftist causes. Worse, our side doesn't know how to respond. You have some conservatives ranting and raving that King was a communist, and others making up BS that he was a "card-carrying Republican".

The obvious response I think conservatives should go with every time some RAT babbles on about the "memory of MLK" is to reply: "Oh, I TOTALLY agree with you that we should remember Martin Luther King. In fact, I'd like to invite his niece Dr. Alveda King to speak to your group about about civil rights issues in the black community today. Great idea, right?"

Then watch the lefties backtrack and avoid having her around to "talk about the memory of MLK" like the plague.

“Robin Hood Tax.”

That, right there is why I consider leftoids stupier than a pile of dog crap.

Robin Hood took money from the government's tax collectors and gave it back to the pesants from whom it was extorted.

Suck on that Ellison, you *#@)$@^()*&!!!!
