OK, I guess the two I “lost” were not Koi, they were Red Veiltail Comet. The one Red Veiltail Comet I have left follows the big boy 22” Koi around like a sucker fish. Last fall the Cornets swam in a school so to speak.
I think I will try several of the largest Koi they have so they have a fighting chance. They are all under $100 so that’s no worries. And I’ll through in some assorted lots.

We used to use water softener salt pellets to add to ponds’ water, to simulate saline conditions in salt water. It soothes stressed fish and also helps to heal some fin (ick) disease. You might want to as the fish seller about whether they still recommend that practice, especially after shipment and at certain intervals.
