Agree with some of this writer's points, but there is a bit of historical revisionism going on as well.

Not to mention Putin’s claim that regarding the invasion of Iraq, Bush said “if you’re not with us, you’re against us.”
In reality, nine days after the 9-11 terrorist attacks, Bush said
“And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation in every region now has a decision to make: Either you are with us or you are with the terrorists.”
