Best I can add is Franklin Regional is located in Murrysville, PA. A very nice upper middle class suburb east of Pittsburgh. It’s in Westmoreland County (a very red area in blue PA).
unless the demographic makeup has changed dramatically, it is extremely unlikely to be muslim related.

Is there any word on the perp? Black, white, hispanic, asian, muslim? Motive or reason?
I’m a PA native too. Grew up in North Philly (not on the list of “Recommended Vacation Paradises” for sure...).
Something like this just goes to show that a person intent on doing damage doesn’t need a gun. And this appears to be just a KID - imagine an adult, someone not as easily subdued, bent on wanton carnage in an unarmed atmosphere...
Armed, undercover guards in the schools now. It’s “for the children” after all.
